Trident is good if there is Loyalty, channeling, and impaling enchants on it, so I recommend sword because when a fire aspect, knockback, sharpness and looting enchant was there, the sword was too good. Edit: You can use the trident to fly when it has riptide enchant on it. Some players recommend Trident because it can use for range attach when there's a loyalty enchant on it. A Loyalty enchant is a enchant that can be added to a trident, the trident will automatically return after you throw it.
