i was given one of them meters about ten years ago ,, went straight in a drawer never to be seen again until i watched this vid ,, its now checked three heads and all three where ok ,, thnks for the info ,, i never knew what the meter was for
Hi, I subscribed, will it help you out with Google recommendations? Thanks for sending recommendation to watch your 1275 head video's. Makes things a lot more obvious you've been doing this a while, are they the chamber mods Vizard outlined in the 70's? I'll watch the full series as soon as I have time. Got some nice 'toy's. 😎
Subscribing helps with the UA-cam algorithm, helps me get paid more for the videos I produce. Chamber mods are my own. You keep referring to 1970’s information, things have moved on…..
I saw some dyno results of one of your heads with just the chamber mods, it does more than I realized. Especially for the costs involved. Different topic, but I'm also amazed how much power Might Minis make if you realise how little mods they can do. Do you know what they do to get 90hp from a near stock engine? Pistons would be a large contribution but what are the other secrets?
@@ACDodd oh the 90hp is for the super Mighty Minis? I just found out about these classes, so not up to speed on the differences. So the mighty's have around 70hp? What do the super do to reach 90? I did my first drives with my modded cilinderhead this week, I'm really pleased with the additional torque, cant wait to have it setup properly. After 7 years of waiting I now use it as my daily driver, I missed this so much!
@@GTE_Channel the supers are higher than that, (not going to say how much), they use 1.5 rockers a well opened out head and an ACDodd supplied spec cam.
Really enjoyed that one... love seeing tips and tricks on head work. Looking forward to the following.

Thank you! Getting ready to do my first head and I learned a lot.
Thank you! Very informative and demagnetising the head was something I would not think at all. Top engineering, sir.
A lot of people don’t bother, I am one of those that demags crankshafts Conroe’s and other engine parts that build up magnetic fields
Thank you AC; looking forward to the next parts of the rebuild.
Very good...i had no idea you can check for cracks like that. Thanks for sharing.
Longman checked my cylinder head for cracks using a similar method back in 1990.
Nothing new here, magnetic particle inspection has been around for years
Informative as always AC.
Thankyou!
I envy you for the magnetic testing device. On my heads and things I always apply a dye penetration process. But is is more messy of course.
The MAgnetic particle inspection is so fast it’s ideal for the trade to use.
I learned a lot from this video going to watch the next one when I finnished work that magnaflux tool is something else very cool but of kit
👍

Do you mean super mighty minis?
Yes the ‘halfway house’ makes a big difference, my testing has shown it to be worth about half as much as a fully ported version.

@@ACDodd ah I see, I was in the understanding they still used std. camshafts and near stock heads. Thanks for the insight! Keep up the good work!
