Re-Balagopal vs unknown (1976) Case law related to legal insanity
Facts - The person was sound as per the neighbour and family members there was no quarell between his wife and him and their married life was quiet happy. He commited murder of his wife and son by cutting them with knife.
Judgement- it was proved that accused was suffering from mental disease and the court ordered him to be kept in mental hospital he was acquited for all the charges against him for murder
