What's wrong with you in the comment section? These things you call trash, have saved thousands of lifes!! As long as they can bring you to the hospital save then are fine to be in the city.
All the white ambulances except one seen responding in 6:04 are private.... in 3:44 you can see an ALS unit responding (it has two EMT'S and a doctor) hellenic EMS (EKAB) is in a really bad shape but the EMT'S and doctors are always trying their best despite the problems!!!
@@craigclaassen7346 they have much improoved with new boxer ambulances modern equipment like lucas machines lifepak 15s atc but also better sirens and 360 degrees of full led lighting
I come from Greek background. My grandparents are from Greece. Still got family in Greece, hoping to go check out my homeland sometime in the near future. 🇬🇷🇺🇸
Drivers seem to ignore the ambulances. Are the ambulances driving around with blue lights even if they are not on an emergency call? If true, then a very bad practice.
Hi. I am Alyssa, currently living in Pallini. I just want to know where can I possibly find a paramedic course near my area. Any suggestion will help. This is my life long dream. I ❤️ 🇬🇷
Well, I'm from Portugal and I know my country isn't specifically a rich one but… seriously, what the hell was that? I mean, those vehicles look terrible, so old. Not even in a poor tropical Latin American country you see this bad stuff. Here in Portugal we also suffered a strong crisis but our ambulances are better, like obviously people only live once.
Unfortunately, you are right. Our health system,is the most downgrated thing, here in Greece.Seriously (and I mean this),we have people who try their best (and they do big things - believe me) every day,in conditions you don't WANT to imagine, but we have a great lack of equipment - not only cars.. The biggest corruption in Greece,is on those who "handle" the health care - if you know what I mean...
Yes,with Peugeot Boxers that was a donation from Stavros Niarchos foundation. It wasn't the government that bought them. And they are limited.I think he gave us 600,God bless him.Of course he can't replace all ambulances in Greece. But,that's what I 'm talking about: We,as citizens, are waiting for someones donation,to do something. These things, should be aware from the govenment. We got the new ambulances that were free, but we haven't bought others so,old VW caddys,or Citroen Jumpers, are still in use, with up to 1000000 km! Our patrol cars, are from donations too.It was back in 2011 I think, that Scoda donate about 5000 cars to Hellenic police, and THEN we decided to buy 5000 more! The same thing with previous Scodas.Same with Citroen Xantias, back in 1998.It is always the same, that's the problem. Thanks for replying.
It is not an ambulance that trasporting patients. It is from a diagnostic center that probably does not have siren. The blue light is a clever way to avoid rush hour in Athens.
Retro Car Show. I mean.. really? 6:25 this is what Greece can afford? How they fit all the equipment to that thing? Here in Cyprus with a population of 1 million we have modern ambulance vehicles. This is not just sad but unacceptable to have a freaking 30years old ambulance vehicle still in service.
The vehicle literally says CT, so I highly doubt it transports any patients. It's probably only used for equipment. EKAB and private agencies have modern ambulances.
stop this with Crisis ..again and again ..it was a crisis few years ..thats all ..it was not the end of world ..its like a crisis in a relationship ..and this video is like a bad propaganda ..come and see now the most are new ..last 2 years over 173 new modern ambulances vehicles and Greece is not Poor Country ..Happy New Year ))
Greece has no crisis anymore and the volkswagens are not ambulances you should go to greece and see for yourself that the ambulances have al been replaced an are better then most balkan countries

Most of the drivers in Greece, they don't care about the emergency vehicles, unfortunately.....and I speak you as a Greek driver
This is only in bussies ctiy but for the rest they will make way
Ambulances drive with lights one even if they are not on an emergency. Probably for the other vehicles to get cautious around it.

There are several ways to find. IEK EKAB in Athens is the main. There are several public and private IEK in Athens also who can EMS cources.
