I appreciate your video! I'm in Florida and there is a hurricane coming. My husband passed away and he used to do it. Thank you for teaching me how to do this myself.
If you take a look in my Amazon store you will see it. I just moved it to first on the page. The link to my Amazon store is in the description below the video. The light is made by Astro.
Unfortunately you will not know if the engine or generator is good until you get it started. I would drain the fuel from the tank and carb. You should also drain the oil completely and refill to correct level . Good luck.
Q: What is the fill tube about 5-6 inches directly above the yellow oil cap. It should have a white cap like my 3250 troy-bilt does, yours seems to be missing. I don't see an explanation in the online owners manual. I appreciate your videos greatly.
From what I recall it was sealed. Possibly for a different engine when the manufacturer built it. Thanks for asking and for watching. Don’t forget to subscribe
I have a question if you can answer please . This oil drain looks easy enough that I can do, but my generator got flooded in a hurricane, is this the same process? Obviously, I will not start the unit before draining as water is in the oil......
This oil is so gooked up, I'm sorry for the questions but how can I clean it out. I've drained it and wow what weird color. My concern is what's left inside after I drained it..What can I do?
I have a Briggs and Stratton 1650 engine series 342cc. What type of engine oil should I use for it? I tried starting this morning and it came on for a bit then turn off. It was working for hours last night. Do you think it's the spark plug or carburetor?
Sorry 1 more question... if you can help.. I had 3 feet of water in my house, the generator was covered in water NOT in the gas tank. Bit definitely inbthe oil. Is there anything else I should check besides the oil, which I know has water in it
If the generator was under water I would also change the gas before trying to start it. I'm sure that water would have gotten into the gas. Also try to drain out the carb. before starting.

Thank you . Your video was very helpful. I have the same generator and needed to do an oil change. 👍
Glad it helped
Wonderful video, very well done. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Is there a filter to change?
How much oil do you put in the generator?
Quick question, what is that nifty thin LED shop light with the hook. Couldn't make out a name on it.

Also would you suggest anything else to look at. I think water was over the engine Thanks

Yes it is the same procedure. I would recommend you change the oil, start it up and after a few minutes turn it off and change the oil again

Take the spark plug out and pull the cord a few times to get any water out change oil and fuel. You’ll be good

first thing to check is the oil level. Engine most likely has a low oil shut off switch.
Very helpful. Thanks
You're welcome!
Excelente explicación
Well done
Mine has a full plug on the opposite side, when it starts to spill it’s full
