I just realized the answer to every lego problem: add more troopers. No matter what trilogy, add troops. Need another named character? No. Add 10 troops
it's a very memorable ship in universe. First of all it was a diplomatic, unarmed vessel that due to Clone Wars was retrofitted and very well armed for it's size and the fact that we had 1000 years of peace in galaxy before Clone Wars. Second is the wrong classification and Star Wars gets it wrong a lot of times. As a 138m long ship it was a corvette, not a frigate. But they got it wrong a lot, Acclamator is often said to be a frigate while it's a cruiser, Arquitens is called a light cruiser while it's a frigate, Pelta class frigate is the correctly designated clone wars frigate, as well as pretty unknown centax class heavy frigate that was rumored to be 410 meters long.

My parents spent thousands of dollars if not more just to buy me the LEGO sets I wanted. Just counting how many LEGO Star Wars sets I had (that I can remember of), they are already worth more than a ten thousand dollars in today's standards. That still blows my mind.. I never realized how precious they were and always wanted more. I can't even imagine. I'm gonna make a lot of money and pay them back for all the great stuff they've bought me.
Plokoons star fighter was the first Lego star wars set I ever got for my 5th birthday june 22 2010 Jesus I have so many memories from this thank you for reminding me of it
I remember liking the Hyena Droid when I was a kid, but I was frustrated that the clips that hold the "wings" in place break so easily. Pretty sure I mostly wanted the set for those cool rocket droids lol
On the 2010 turbo tank you could modify the carry handle so the clones drop ship can pick it up. Really enjoyed the cross compatibility between all the big clone tanks. It would be cool to see lego do a drop ship for the AT-AT
I am not a huge Clone Wars fan and so we never got many of the sets. However, at the amazing $10 price of the battle pack walker, my dad bought maybe 8 of them just so that we could have an army of Minifigures to play with. Minifigures are expensive, and that was the best way to get a consistent army at a relatively cheap price.
2011-2013 was the most beautiful Era of lego star wars. I remember getting the tri droid and geonosian star fighter for Christmas. And I'll never forget the og mandalorian battle pack.
I can’t believe I actually still have the top 2 still built, as well as the attack gunship at #3. It’s been so long since I’ve even taken them down off my shelves, just sitting getting dusty, such good memories
YES! The 7676 Republic Gunship is the best gunship ever! I bought two and used the two different nose art stickers. I keep them in a big plastic tub as part of my Republic Strike Package. It consists of the two Gunships, the 7675 AT-TE, the Republic Dropship with AT-OT, the 8019 Attack Shuttle, and two V-19 Torrents for air support. And I used at least four of the 8014 Clone Walker Battle Packs to people the gunships and walkers. I attach the little walkers to the wings of the gunships, one on each side, on the underside of the wing turret bubbles.
In my oppinion the Snail Tank should be WAY higher- You get 2 normal clones, 2 normal Droids and a nice build for the Snail tank. Overall a perfect Set and a great army builder.
I like the bomber cause no one else likes it so I can get it for basically retail price($30 or so) instead of buying the vulture droid which is significantly more expensive for a smaller set
I remember that I had the headhunter. Loved the pilot figure to death. Unfortunately, my mom forced me to lend my legos to a little kid down the road, and a bunch of stuff was missing when I got my legos back. The pilot’s helmet was missing, along with dozens of other helmets, and even entire figures that were missing. Of course, my mom refused to let me approach the neighbors about it.
2:24 broke my heart, but it is one of my favorites Star Wars sets from my childhood, so that accounts for my personal bias. 4:40 Probably a reaccuring theme for me in this video--I forgot about this set! This gonna be a big nostalgia trip, I can already tell... 18:31 Loved this set! Great minifigures, wish I hadn't taken it apart--but the stability of the build was one of the worst out of the dozens of sets I've ever had. 22:12 This was indeed a beautiful set. 27:15 And this paired so amazingly with the previous set! Having opposition in sets is always a plus to me personally because it made the stories easier to make. 29:54 All four of these clones were so fun to have. I gravitated towards them all for different reasons, it was great. 41:00 This set packed a punch for the price--the characters carried hard but the build was still solid too. 46:24 Iconic. Legendary. Classic. Gorgeous.
I recently picked the star hopper up used by complete and I’m really glad I did. The figures are better than I expected and the build is pretty substantial for what I paid for in 2021.
I’m happy the Malevolence was number 5 of your list. I never owned the set but always wanted it back in the day. It seemed so cool. Hope I can somehow snag it in the future
2008 and 2009 were banger years for starting clone wars sets. I got the gunship for christmas and would sneak into my parents' bedroom where it was "hidden" so I could stare at the pictures on the box and dream of swooshing. Lots of battles were waged with that and the atot, a set I had to beg my mom to buy for me. What an amazing set. Looking at it now, I'm so glad to have it on display next to the gunship. They're definitely my favorite sets from that era.
oh man the memories... not gonna lie, the 8018 AAT is one of my all time favourites! I just love this set so, so much - its of the few sets where i honestly just want LEGO to rerelease it so i can go buy another one or two. sadly, all the newer versions of this set are just huge downgrades in comparison to this one :(
I had the magna guard shuttle back in the day and oml you’re reminding me of features I didn’t even remember the ship having 😂 oml the nostalgia is real
Ask mandr: I know you hate the senate battlepack because they made senate troopers really accessible, but wouldn't putting shock troopers into cheap sets ruin them aswell, because they sell fot $50+? Just seems like a double standard
Personally, I don't hate the senate battle pack because they made senate troopers really accessible, I hate it because Senate commandos didn't really appear all that often in the show, and we'd be much better off with a straight clone battle pack.
Senate commandos make more sense to be rare since they are the best of the best, most elite troopers. On the other hand 212th, Wolfpack and shock troopers show up in droves and are huge parts of the show.
I disagree in placing the 2018 Anakin’s starfighter before the original clone wars version, but ye, other than that and some battle packs (seriously tho, assassins battle pack could have arguably been the lowest set) is great
I liked the Lego venator until I actually watched the clone wars. Now I think of it as slightly less good but still great. It has some of the best handle integration in any set and mostly looks great
I can't believe how young the average MandR viewer seems to be lol. I still think of that set as the "NEW AT-RT" XD. The old one, of course, being the OG 2005 version.

Do yourself a favor, rebuild it. Last summer I sat down for a week and rebuilt the UCS Death Star (2008?) after it had been dropped back in 2012ish. It is SO worth it.
23:29 I buried the clone to the left in the dirt and have never found him since. I'm sure the worms are having a blast with that $20+ figure (the cheapest one at the moment from the U.S).

Rest In Peace
Recently opened my Lego collection, and I remembered actually having the clone turbo tank! Seeing your opinion makes me double excited to rebuild it! #2 in your guys opinion? Cool!
For Ashoka and Maul’s duel on mandalore they should have included the republic shuttle that took him away and/or a bigger throne room for dueling in, along with captain Rex, ARC trooper Jesse, shock troopers, or Bo Katan minifigures
Hyena Bomber deserves more. Second to last place at least. Edit: BUT I agree with your Republic Dropship ranking I used to watch your review of that set all the TIME, my favorite clone wars set ever!
31:02 I actually CAN argue otherwise. This tank is hugely out of proportion. For all of the hate you give to the 2020 AAT for being out of proportion, the newer fighter tank was WAY better than this, proportion wise and with more figures

Plokoons star fighter was the first Lego star wars set I ever got for my 5th birthday june 22 2010 Jesus I have so many memories from this thank you for reminding me of it
52 Minutes! Wow this is like a movie 😂 Thanks for putting so much effort into making this Ryan! :)
The cruel irony of Plo Koons starfighter having an ejection seat killed me XD
If only it was accurate
The best part about this video was the obvious love and joy Ryan feels for a lot of these sets. At times he reverted to the child in his excitement.
The one thing I do like about the Hyena Bomber and Vulture Droid sets is that they are mini-figure scale, which I personally think is an advantage.
It would be cool to see lego do a drop ship for the AT-AT
you could the same thing with the at-te which was clutch cuz the drop ship was mostly used for transporting at-tes
All of these made sense on the list. Can’t deny it.
Looking at this I enjoy the older barc speeders the modern day ones are a tad big.
A lot of them didnt make sense
43:48
The moment when i realized "i have this set" but i don't know where and i don't know if i broke the shuttle
Wow Ryan, weird move to make the First Order AT-ST your number one pick even though it isn’t even a clone wars set
And I'll never forget the og mandalorian battle pack.
i have 5-6 of the new mando packs, i dont know what to do with them
I can’t believe I actually still have the top 2 still built, as well as the attack gunship at #3. It’s been so long since I’ve even taken them down off my shelves, just sitting getting dusty, such good memories
8:49 Wow, that's an awesome Count Dooku minifig!
Yeah, have you heard of new Hyper Realistic print figs?
As a kid I honestly could never decide which way was the correct way for the turbo tank to have front and back.
I like the bomber cause no one else likes it so I can get it for basically retail price($30 or so) instead of buying the vulture droid which is significantly more expensive for a smaller set
which set is that?

46:25 WTF BRUH I LITERALLY HAD THIS AS A KID . I gotta find my old sets bro wtf this is kinda making me sad
Why :(
2:24 broke my heart, but it is one of my favorites Star Wars sets from my childhood, so that accounts for my personal bias.
When Ryan makes a single controversial ranking in this video: “Begun, the Clone War has”
😂
2008 and 2009 were banger years for starting clone wars sets. I got the gunship for christmas and would sneak into my parents' bedroom where it was "hidden" so I could stare at the pictures on the box and dream of swooshing. Lots of battles were waged with that and the atot, a set I had to beg my mom to buy for me. What an amazing set. Looking at it now, I'm so glad to have it on display next to the gunship. They're definitely my favorite sets from that era.
oh man the memories...
not gonna lie, the 8018 AAT is one of my all time favourites! I just love this set so, so much - its of the few sets where i honestly just want LEGO to rerelease it so i can go buy another one or two.
sadly, all the newer versions of this set are just huge downgrades in comparison to this one :(
That AT-OT/LAAT combo was awesome. Also great was the LAAT transport could pick up the AT-TE set too!
Thank you so much for putting the Malevolence at top 5. It's a really underrated set and my favorite as well.
I remember getting it for Christmas one year and having the most fun ever with it. Unfortunately my brother broke it after a year and never rebuilt it
Man, I wish I had these sets. This was the best era of Lego Star Wars.
I think the ARC-170 should fit in to the list as neither Clone Fighter tanks ever appeared in TCW.
Also he's asking for more 212th troopers, so some of the things he says are a little controversial, not trying to be rude, just saying.
52 minutes just about lego sets. Real pleasure.
Other than the battle pack placement this is a perfect list
I disagree in placing the 2018 Anakin’s starfighter before the original clone wars version, but ye, other than that and some battle packs (seriously tho, assassins battle pack could have arguably been the lowest set) is great
I liked the Lego venator until I actually watched the clone wars. Now I think of it as slightly less good but still great. It has some of the best handle integration in any set and mostly looks great
If I were a lego piece, I would be a flick fire missile so that ryan would have to acknowledge me
LOL
45:56 XD the kinda grey engines looks like a happy face
The 2013 501st at-rt was my first lego set and I am glad it made it so far up
I can't believe how young the average MandR viewer seems to be lol. I still think of that set as the "NEW AT-RT" XD. The old one, of course, being the OG 2005 version.
@@scottkrafft6830 hahaha facts bro for me the OG at rt is the 2005 one. I got that set as a gift like 3 or 4 times as a kid but was always happy to have it
I spent almost an hour watching somebody rank starwars lego sets and i have nothing to regret
I kind of agree with this list, but not gonna lie I like the 2020 AAT, I'm actually buying it tomorrow
I bought it I actually like it too
The figures are smooooooth but that build I’d inaccurate but fine for play
Really miss my Republic Frigate, I think my brother dropped it years ago, never fixed it. Now its sitting in individual pieces in different storage bins. The size and the internal features were amazing. Especially just carrying it around or sitting it on a shelve.
I get a lot of nostalgia for these sets and I barely owned any of them, I just remember trying to find on as a kid and they were all on eBay and ridiculously expensive,
#48 brings back some crazy memories, one of the people I looked up to in my life bought it for me, he was an amazing person and wasn’t even family, but he felt like family! Rest In Peace
In the 2009 AAT I couldn’t help but notice:
Why is the torso the wrong way around on the droid piloting the ship? (Timestamp: 34:58)
I always wondered that too. It was an error by whoever put together the set that they used to take the pictures for the box art.
Lot of childhood nostalgia. Forgot to mention the bomb drop feature for the Republic Attack Shuttle, great feature.
drinking game: take a shot every time M&R says “nostalgic”
Or “flick fire missile”
@@morbidtotty8375 or “Lego should of included more clone troopers”
The clone walker battle pack always gets bonus points for me for being my very first EVER lego set
Recently opened my Lego collection, and I remembered actually having the clone turbo tank! Seeing your opinion makes me double excited to rebuild it! #2 in your guys opinion? Cool!
The 2009 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid was my first ever Lego Star Wars set. I loved that thing.
For Ashoka and Maul’s duel on mandalore they should have included the republic shuttle that took him away and/or a bigger throne room for dueling in, along with captain Rex, ARC trooper Jesse, shock troopers, or Bo Katan minifigures
That would’ve pushed the price very very very high but it would be nice
Fun fact the hyena bomber set is the earliest star wars set I owned, even today I still see remnants of the set floating around my room.
Same here. I dunno if it was my first though. Near it for sure.
I think the Senate Commando Pack was a great set!
Hyena Bomber deserves more.
Second to last place at least.
Edit: BUT I agree with your Republic Dropship ranking I used to watch your review of that set all the TIME, my favorite clone wars set ever!

I couldn't contain my happiness over getting it. Been trying to rebuild it.
how is the arch 170 not on this list it’s clearly a clone wars set
Revenge of the sith. Never was in clone wars show
Must admit, Ryan do be speaking facts about the Geonosis trooper walker build
11:30 if his starfighter could've ejected him then he wouldn't've died in episode 3
In a deleted scene he does eject but is still killed
I love the clone wars Lego sets there’s just a feeling they put off a nice feeling of joy when looking at them or building them or playing with them.
Imagine working out as a kid, by playing with Lego StarWars ships all day long.😄😆😅🤣😂
The amount of nostalgia in this video omg
31:02 I actually CAN argue otherwise. This tank is hugely out of proportion. For all of the hate you give to the 2020 AAT for being out of proportion, the newer fighter tank was WAY better than this, proportion wise and with more figures
You are talking about scale to Minifigures, which people only use arbitrarily like now.
@@MandRproductions I'm talking about proportions like how tall it is compared to how long it is, where the 2008 model fails completely
I got the Corporate Alliance Tank Droid with the jetpack troopers at what was Downtown Disney, and I was lucky enough to get the 10th anniversary Darth Vader in that box.
Me who got two hyena droid bombers for Christmas as a kid…
Your parents were trying to send a message.
Dude I used to have the assassin droid battle pack as a kid I recently opened my old old school book bag from 2009 or so when I was in 3rd or 4th grade and I found a arm to one of the silver droids lol 😂
