Rust or worn grooves from the bracket rubbing are the most common things that are damaging to the rotors, if they look smooth and clean after removing any dirt on them you probably wont need to change them that time.

I heard the caliper piston required a tool that rotated as its pushing it back. Does the 2019 model not require that tool?
I think it’s just the rear that needs the caliper tool actually if I’m not mistaken

Do the pads have an inner and outer orientation?
Did you have to reset any codes. What was that piston compressor tool you were using also?

Also if your car “shakes” or “shutters” while braking you’re probably due for new rotors
You can measure the thickness with a caliper. Find your cars minimum thickness
