Wow I'm surprised at how small this channel is, this is a pretty solid tech review. Not a Google Home user, but as someone who's used Android tablets for around 12 years at this point, the fact that apps aren't really optimized for tablets is on point. Among social media, Meta is the worst offender, like their apps are just the smartphone version but bigger, which makes for a very awkward experience.
I think the lack of optimization for tablets is a consequence of Google's lack of focus. If companies do not feel like the first party is committed to a platform, they won't even think about committing themselves.
@@graysontate_ there's also a big factor of android being more prevalent in places where people can spend less money on tech, thus mostly opting for only having one devjce (a phone) not two

Samsung has a lot of refinements and "brute force" fixes to make apps work well on large screen even if the app developer hasn't optimized for it, @@graysontate_ This is why the Galaxy Z Fold is so, so much better to use (regardless of your feeilling about the form factor) than the Pixel Fold / Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
as a frugal person. I got this for less than $200 by getting it stand alone, and getting a $400 off with a trade in of a iPad 6th gen (google is no longer doing this). for that price, it was a great budget tablet. for $400 (or $500 with the dock), nah. your right. can't even play fortnite.++
You make some good points but on several points I disagree. Yes, ipad still has some advantage in apps. But the Pixel tablet can force apps to run in full screen solving most of this problem and making it work better than the ipad for some often used apps. And sure, we are in kind of a in between two assistent technologies, where you have both the Google Assistent and Gemini. But either of them is sooo much better than Siri, so if anything, that is a reason to avoid the iPad. Gemini by now has gotten most of the abilities of the GA. Also, you can use both side by side until Gemini makes GA completely obsolete.
Fair points! Since I am a product designer I just can't live with apps that are forced full screen and have UI weirdness all over the place lol. I will say when GA works it is much better than siri but that might be changing when Apple finally launches the new Siri later this year.
I was about to say this haha. Came here for the review, but it made me weirdly uncomfortable. Reminded me of that "affectation" scene from this movie, where rich people and teenagers talk like this to show they don't give a shit haha. Hope he works on it a bit. It's fine if you're gay, just maybe act a bit more normal without the affectation. Will definitely help your channel to grow more because most people still aren't very comfortable with this affectation.

Not having stylus support made this tablet look like a joke of an attemp to me, we dont want to buy $300 alarm clocks disguised as tablets
The stylus isn’t as useful as you think for most people, plus third party styli still work on this tablet
Hard disagree, tablets without styli have never been successful ever
You are wrong, it has stylus usi 2.0 support
try a Samsung tab s9 ultra.
Well that looks like a beast of a tablet. Also a full computer sized price. I assume it still has the same issues with lack of tablet optimize apps?

I wish I had jumped on that insane iPad trade-in deal.
