i prefer the other version. this has a bit too much going on in the production. the simplicity of the song doesn't mesh well with this overproduction. the bass hits too hard, the hats are too much, the message of the song is convoluted by the harshness. the mix isn't sympathetic to the song. this mix is a ms. cracker performance, needlessly shablamming all over the place. the other is a shea coule performance. thoughtful, careful, captivating.
