Good for you for managing a big farm,, I inherited a small 150 acres, hay, corn, cover crops, I pick the corn for crib storage, small bales with the hay, 20 acres for cover crops, all my tractors and implements purchased at auctions, doing it all by myself,,, and after 32 years military,, I’m loving every day of it 😎
Have you ever considered making "cheat sheets" for your dryer/ bin site ? For every thing that needs to happen in the proper order, I could see reference sheets being handy.
You might consider implementing a lock out/tag out program. It keeps you from turning equipment on until it is safe to do so. Safe also includes functionality like closing doors.
I cringed when you said, "Things are going smoothly." That could jinx it for sure. LOL, I'm glad things are going well. I live in Northwest Indiana, and most folks just fungicide everything to be safe. It seems to pay off more often than it doesn't around here anyway. God Bless until next time.
00:32 I break a tums in half and take that for reaching deep sleep. You can't reach deep sleep without calcium. Did you ever feel like you tripped in your dream and it wakes you up? That is restless leg syndrome it is a calcium deficiency. 1:20 I thought JD was your Dad that does help thank you.
Just today in fact I was at my local dump with 4 lanes approaching the scales and there were 10 vehicles in single file 🤦🏽. I proceeded down an empty lane and leaped about 7 vehicles 😊.
I've heard you refer to "the leg" in several videos. I figured out that it's involved with moving the crop around, but could you tell us exactly what it is/does please? That would help me follow along better.
@@wayner806 I saw something that looked like a conveyor chain with square paddles attached, and it ran inside of a long square housing (like a sort of conduit). It reminded me of a grain elevator setup I saw at an old restored gristmill. Is that it?
@@davidtamad1 That’s a drag conveyor. The elevator leg has a chain with buckets spaced evenly around the chain that scoop the grain up at the bottom of the pit and carry it to the top of the “leg” where those buckets are dumped into a distributor, as they turn upside down to go back to the bottom. The distributor then sends the grain to one of the storage bins, grain dryer or the overhead storage bin.
JD is your landlord for one of your farms? I’m confused by that statement. Are you saying JD mangers/ acts like a landlord for one of your property’s? OR is JD a tenant of yours at one of your farms.

The leg is the elevator that carries seed from the pit and to the top and it’s then dropped where it needs to go by manual selection.

JD owns farm land that he rents to her. A landlord
@@lesgobrandon3105 Ok that makes sense. Also I really like your content, it’s very I’m informative. Thank you
