Crazy to be that talented and accomplished to just show up at Green Bush and dominate all the while being a stoked and cool individual Nate you're a role model not just for surfers but all humans-
Love the editing on this one. The mix of pov followed by the other camera angle while keeping the audio from the GoPro is really great. Nailed the perfect balance of edit/raw on this one!
"What is this thing?" Such a righteous sea-faring itinerary -- hittin up the spots! Thanks for taking us along. Great stuff as always. Still waiting for the ice to go out up here in the Arctic but should get blown out soon. Come up to Barrow for the fall storm barrels and paddle out with the polar bears. Yeeeeew!
Still the best surfing content on UA-cam. Glad to see the hard work and solid content in paying off. You are going to hit 1 million, the only question is how long will it take. I’m guessing one of these days you are going to get some content so incredible that it goes viral and you add 100k or more in a few days. The right wave, caught inside somewhere huge, something.
That was awesome man! I have a river wave at my house in Columbus, Georgia. If you ever want to visit I’d be happy to let you stay at my place and show you around. Jamie O’Brien stayed at my place for a few days a couple years ago. It’s a cool spot. Great video as always. Looked liked a special day 👊🏼
6:49 "caralho ó o nathan... caraaaaaaaalhoooooooou" hahahahaha honest reaction from a mesmerized brazilian. Much love from Brazil, we love the Florence brothers down here!
I love seeing the pov barrel then the boat shot after each other!! sick to see perspective. Would be cool to hear you talk more to the go pro about the session and about the wave
That one wave POV where not a drop of water was out of place almost looked fake it was so good. Glad you showed some wipeouts etc, to prove it was all real and not AI. So amazing, the level of skill on show.
This video puts me right in the water, back in Indo like no other I've watched. I can feel the ocean like about to take off on a wave and get barreled. Not sure what it is about it. It's not the shakiness, something else. "What is this thing" wave end section was square and shallow AF, risked a brutal faceplant on the reef.
Too bad you could not return for the evening session here. Hts was classic but Greenbush must have been really showing its' potential too. Looking forward to more. I think next morning was huge so maybe we get a rediculous round 2 of Greenbush.
@NathanFlorence but in your case, most of the gambles pay out really well cause you're one of the few out there willing to take that gamble. So keep doing what you do and let us be part of it. Thanks so much
I like the idea of surfing. I'm considering moving back to Hawaii and I was wondering where would be a good place to learn? I previously lived on Big Island in Hilo and Kapa'au, but willing to expand
I hope they didn't paddle out all at once. One thing I learned on boats in the Ments is not to paddle out right away when you arrive with your boat and not all at once. The others in the water will last only so long. When they start to filter out, you start to filter in. It's the best way to make friends and share the lineup with stoke.
As always your content is absolutely magnificent, Nate ! Best free surfing stuff out there (along with Mason)... I don't know squat about Greenbush, but that wave looked a bit sketchier / heavier / thicker than a lot of the other Indo waves that get a lot of attention... Am I right ?
Hey Nate If John is the best surfer in all waves, who is the second best surfer on the planet in any waves that break ? That would be you. There is now no debating. You have more than proven it. What is so great is that I imagine you could care less. It does not make it any less true.
I would 💩 myself especially after seeing how long the one guy was held under. He is lucky he didn’t bounce off the reef. Hopefully he had a good breath before going down. It sucks when you go through that but you inhale some water while you’re about to get nailed. Have had bad experience with that in waves that are not nearly this powerful and thought that was the end.
i am banned from surfing in every country on earth... main issue is that i tend to displace so much water whilst power carving ..... most of it gets lodged in orbit and disrupts satellite data , oh well
@@NathanFlorence well generally you want to go a few hours before low tide but it’s different every beach and every day, as far as places in the world, the megalodon ledge or “Meg” ledge off the North Carolina coast is work renowned but you have to dive 100 ft! Indo Megalodons are a thing but I’ve never been to look! I think they dig them up. I just walk the beach when I can’t find waves!!
Crazy to be that talented and accomplished to just show up at Green Bush and dominate all the while being a stoked and cool individual Nate you're a role model not just for surfers but all humans-
Well said !
Love it at around 7:30 Nate asks if anyone else is going or wants it, nope - and goes - true etiquette and what a wave!
11:36 i love how to calls "what is this thing" then it turns out to be a killer wave
It was amazing. That little bowl at the end was dredging square.
Love the editing on this one. The mix of pov followed by the other camera angle while keeping the audio from the GoPro is really great. Nailed the perfect balance of edit/raw on this one!

Wave etiquette on show here is fantastic.
Lot's of respect, lot's of danger.
Man your wave selection is always so good. Every wave you go on is a nug.
Still the best surfing content on UA-cam. Glad to see the hard work and solid content in paying off. You are going to hit 1 million, the only question is how long will it take.

it was "one of those days". Perfect. Great post, nice edit .
always good to score some good bush.

Definitely invite Dylan Graves. Also on UA-cam. He did Weird Waves and Indies Explorer vibes years ago. He loves river waves. @DylanGravesYT
Thank you again @Nathan for this healing moment !
Waves are nuts !
Killer lil edit. Love the pure doc style with the slow motion at the crux of the waves. Keep it up y'all. Mahalos and Aloha.
Gezzuz, the pov at 12:00 is super sick!
Most of it is super sick!
True slab tour stop!
Killing it Nate!

Idk how you guys just surf these waves all day, for days in a row, without dying of exhaustion lol
6:49 "caralho ó o nathan... caraaaaaaaalhoooooooou" hahahahaha honest reaction from a mesmerized brazilian.
Much love from Brazil, we love the Florence brothers down here!

It looks like the bigger waves hold up better than the smaller waves.

Love POV footage let's us older Fatter blokes to be there with ya cheers bro from NZ
Should have seen how perfect it was like 5 minutes before you jumped into the line up
You forgot Super Glassy. "What is this thing?" Death for most of us.
I hope they didn't paddle out all at once. One thing I learned on boats in the Ments is not to paddle out right away when you arrive with your boat and not all at once. Nathan surfing anywhere is the equivalent of why pro's avoid p-pass, it's just to bloody easy
A day like this 😎 cost a Fortune💸 worth every breath & barrel
LETS GO!!!!!
Brandon
12:51 só sick
Better than Teahupo'o? So sick!
Whats ur fav break in that area? GB looks very square in the beginning. I was hooting every spit. Such historical footage of an amazing swell period.
Hey Nate
If John is the best surfer in all waves, who is the second best surfer on the planet in any waves that break ? That would be you. There is now no debating. You have more than proven it. What is so great is that I imagine you could care less. It does not make it any less true.
Sick how this is edited
Scored 🤘
Yeah Man! ! !
Mentawais = Mental waves.
Cool!
W0W!
Go Man....😅😅😅
Is that fish or trash on the reef?
oh my damness
Your gnar
Hey kiddies, If you think this is easy, check yourself. It's way more real in person. Bigger than Nates camera shows. 😅
I would 💩 myself especially after seeing how long the one guy was held under. He is lucky he didn’t bounce off the reef. Hopefully he had a good breath before going down. looks a bit mushy
Yeah, looks like Galveston.
A wave pitching top to bottom is the exact opposite of mushy
@realeasterne what do ya think the chances are he's joking?
And small
i am banned from surfing in every country on earth... main issue is that i tend to displace so much water whilst power carving ..... most of it gets lodged in orbit and disrupts satellite data , oh well
