Love me some Honda's. I recall when the CR-Z first came out. I test drove one, but was a little bummed that the output didn't match the looks. A K swapped CR-Z should have been an option from the factory.

You'd have to purchase the HPD spec and then have it sent out to Jackson Racing for the supercharger installation at an additional cost. The benefit was it came with a factory warranty. If you bought the car and had that same setup installed later there was no warranty. So if anything happened you'd be out of luck, as the later install would void the car's warranty.
In the US, there were about 32,000 sold and even assuming 80% of them are still on the road (accidents and bad maintenance not withstanding), there aren't that many. How does it feel to create such a concentration of CR-Z's that hasn't been seen since these things were on lots? Lol Just got a 2011, myself. Absolutely love it.
I just got a 2011 ex with only 47,000 miles and a 6 speed. It's an unbelievable car I'm honestly so proud and happy to own one. It is the ultimate daily driver I don't care what anyone says

i'm from NY - wish i was there with you guys. i'm 55 and traded my mini for a CR-Z. at first i couldn't tell if i hate it or love it. i remeber the CR-X. but i kept looking at it, test drove it, the rest is history. too bad you can't post a picture here. it's red with gold rims and whoever had it before me really dressed it up with lil details i appreciate. i may want to wrap it in the future and add a spoiler
I used to take my allowance to buy mags at AutoZone, import tuner was my favorite, as I was a skyline fanboy at age 10 lol Honda Tuning was awesome, and super street was cool too. Definitely hope CRZ's drop in price, but lately I've seen UA-camrs with them, out of nowhere CRZ'S got a lot of mention. Prices will go up, but hopefully not..a k Insight is fine but crz is just more badass lookin haha
@@adobomoto lmao, they did make awesome covers for those binders with the clear windows, I have a good stack of them, when k swaps were starting out, there was a K Fit I remember, everything fit perfect, just needed an accord cable shift linkage. Definitely want a k swapped something in the future, I'm loving my stock rd1 crv, slow and squishy
@@timborice22 my first car was a 4th gen prelude. The handling of this krz reminds me of it. K swaps have been done to death, but that doesn’t make them any less cool and any less want lol
I see a lot of people drive k series cars shifting at like 5k rpm or 6k rpm .... the real fun with a k series doesn't start till past 6k , all the way to redline ! gotta be in vtec to know why the k series is swapped into everything and only then will you understand the love for those engines and builds! But damn man that krz is hella sexy ! in white too my favorite Honda car color ! nice build !
Yup,ive raced many Si's where the drivers would go as high as 5k rpm b4 vtec is even activated,so they would lose the race lol I'm sure they were wondering what the big hype was about the K series engines lol they had no idea how to properly drive those K series Si's that's all.

You guys be hitting five mile drive out there and ruston? I remember we used to cruise with all the homies with Hondas back in the day through there there used to be one stop in there that was a really dope ass view spot and you could park all the cars right along the fence at the view spot where you could see the narrows bridge but they changed the parking lot so that you can't fit as many cars in that pull off spot anymore also you're hella cool man for letting the other owners get to experience a case series that's pretty awesome of you I'm usually pretty picky about ever letting anybody drive my cars because of how much time blood sweat and tears I put in the building them but if it's somebody who's never got to experience that kind of car I'll usually make an exception because it's cool to see how much it brightens up their day

Honda tuning and all other magazines for different car types really were awesome back in the day! People would have loved it with a K series but Honda was just wrong with marketing I think Motorsports calls gas/electric “hybrid motors” hyper cars

Cheapest way is to buy a cheap 06-11 civic Si (depending on what year your crz is tho)_as a Donor car,since you would need all the parts from the Si pretty much and + a plug and play harness and hasport motor mounts,everything else you can use from the Si. I should be doing just that to my 2011 CRZ in a few months from now. If I had a 2014 crz i would go with the 2012-2015 civic Si donor car. But i prefer the 06-11 only cuz they have vtec on both cams or even better a K24A2 from the tsx or a jdm version. Anyways good luck.
I Have a CR-Z and I want to Swap the rear cabin(Or rather the truck space) with a V8 or V6, if that's even possible, even a 2jz Inline would work. I Just want to make it a track car or something like that. I haven't done much research but I am hoping a larger engine fits when I get enough money for it that is. I also just want more horse power in general I feel like mine is really slow. I mean I am comparing it to a 600+ horse power C7 corvette because that's what my father drives so it might just be in my head... I would love some advice as what I can do to give my CR-z more horsepower. it already has a turbo in it, I was going to check and possibly buy a larger one if I have to but I don't know if the engine can even handle a larger one. but like I said I would love some advice.
