One thing I love about Stuart Copeland's drumming is how creative his grooves are. He always finds ways to move the backbeat around instead of putting it on the traditional 2 and 4. I think you did a great tribute to his playing. Gonna try this one at the local jam tonight!

Great Drumming Bud! It's a well known fact that on the record. Many fx were added just like the ride bell on the end of beat four was recorded seperately then added. However as far as I can tell Stewart Copeland is a genius on drums. And he plays the beat just like the recording with added ghost notes, notes taken away the reggae beats in the song etc. So all credit to him
Day 2 learning the drums on my Roland TD17 kvx. I loved the Police and Sting growing up. This track made me buy a drum set and learn. Amazing job by the way! Please do more Sting and Police tracks for us to learn from!

Very good very good but some differences Copeland's snare drum rimshot/cymbal crash hits are much more crispy. He tuned his snare until it's about ready to pop that gives high pitch crisp sound.

I just realized you dont have to exactly emulate a drummer in a cover as long as you capture the essence of what that drummer could do. This is super good. took it way over what the song has but still sounded similar.

Hey Nabil, thanks man!! They really do help us quite a bit! The brand that we use is Limo Lighting, purchased on Amazon and very reasonably priced. I think that each one was around $50.00 - $70.00 (U.S.). I did not use the 5500K CFL bulbs that came with them, I use 2700K CFL's instead. Each of ours has a 4 socket bulb mount and we have four 100 watt equivalent 2700K CFL bulbs in each. I like the warmer light and it seemed to work better because we use a couple different kind of cameras. The warmer light makes it easier for me to do the video edit. ;) Take care my friend and thanks again!!
