Over a decade ago, I was given a start of the Asian wormwood - Artemisia sinense - which is used with acupuncture in Moxa. It's also one of the longevity herbs, Yomogi, used in Okinawa. It's a bit sweeter than the European, (still bitter!!) and comes up earlier in the spring. I’ve been convinced by every other UA-camr that it’s a damaged skin barrier so I’ve tried all the tricks to help repair it. However, when you mentioned monistat 7 and how we have inactive yeasts living on our skin, I remembered having a crazy reaction to when we had to wear masks in that exact area I have irritation now. Did a quick google search and now I’m pretty sure I have a fungal infection on my face because the yeasts thrive in a damp environment ie under the face mask😬 so I just ordered the monistat 7 and fingers crossed it clears it up🙏🏼 it’s been an on going issue and hopefully this is the answer I’ve been looking for. How do you think environment/climate affects our skin? I live in the Antelope Valley (desert) where its very dry all year around. I sometimes think when I visit more humid places with better water quality my skin looks better and I have less breakouts. I'm currently in Guatemala where it is very humid and I'm using amazing quality soft water and think my skin looks a little better than usual, definitely better hydrated with a little more of a glow. I felt similar while in San Fransisco.

Thank you for being so kind 🙌🏼
Your moisturizer should be some thing that is an antioxidant and feeds and changes your skin . Look at Peaches classic moisturizer@peachesskincare.com.
Vaseline is healing and can add more hydration as an occlusive but should not replace your moisturizer.
Castor oil is a frosting on the cake product.
With all of that said you could do one in the Am and one In the PM to see what you like. My clients wear a mask of milk of magnesia or Peaches revitalizing rescue masque to bed every night after doing their nightly routine a couple hours before . They apply castor oil over their eyelids, and under their eyes. At night is when our body heals itself and it is when the body purges out impurities through many of the organs, including the largest organ of the body the skin and so I like my clients to wear their mask to bed. This helps with cleaning out pores that are really hair follicles, helping with texture of the skin, and helping the skin to purge and be healthy.
      I hope this makes sense

Because we do all of our damage to our skin by our early 20s and this is even documented in the journal of medicine , our skin calluses and thickens to protect itself.
