3:24 The upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie is suppose to be a continuation of the X-Men universe though. Both Disney and Sebastian Stan hinted that there was going to be a continuation back in 2017/2018.
6:10 To be fair, Jean became Phoenix towards the beginning of Chris Claremont's X-Men series. So I don't think it was too soon.
6:23 This was suppose to be the first film of a Dark Phoenix Saga/Inferno trilogy. It even ended with Jean Grey saying: "This is not the end of me or the X-Men. It's a new beginning". It was suppose to be the beginning of a saga.
7:58 I agree that the villains sucked. However, the Hellfire Club and Shi'ar were the main villains/antagonists of the Dark Phoenix Saga. Jean was only Dark Phoenix for a total of two issues. She was more of a side-villain similar to Two-Face in The Dark Knight.
the funny thing is the movie doesn't have the hellfire club, they didn't plan ahead or doing it later because they were in first class and killed most of them off (even off-screen) or just written them off. selene wasn't used prior and could have her as the maipulator...but they went with Vuk (yes that's the actual name), Selene is in the movie but you would never know it was her unless you were told
@@nightwish1453 The Hellfire Club originally were going to be the villains of the movie. There was even concept art of them that you can found online. It didn't happen because the new Fox studio head at the time wanted to end the prequel series, and they had plans for the Hellfire Club for the New Mutants movies.
Oh this novie was a let down
