The inReach internal rechargeable battery lasts only 28 days with short time limited usage, stored battery life might be longer but surely not two years. So I am certain that it would be as dead as a rock after two years of just sitting around. After the EMP in this story - It would have to be recharged by a solar power battery system or some other device. That is if it was not also destroyed by the EMP. Some models provide safety charging to help recover a depleted phone. I just purchased two inReach units that the batteries last for 336 hours (so the advert says). But that remains to be seen once I get them. But yes I get it, this is a fantasy story.
**"Thank you for sharing the practical details about the inReach device, very insightful! I completely agree that in reality, the batteries of these devices would deplete if not recharged over a long period, and their resilience after an EMP is definitely something to consider. However, since this is a fantasy story, I’ve added a touch of ‘magic’ to enhance the drama and make the plot more engaging. I truly appreciate your interest and feedback!"** This response shows that you’re open to hearing others’ opinions while also emphasizing that the story is a work of imagination.
Thank you for your stories! Yes I am very comfortable with fantasy plot devices. It’s fantasy! There are high dollar satellite devices of that type that include voice to voice communications, but the affordable ones (like mine) only allow text communication between other garmin units. Of course those devices have so much more they can do than simply texting!
Love the narrator, thanks for the upload. ❤
Thanks for this EMP book!
Keep em coming please ❤
Good book , thanks
Ans then there was "your old lady"...
I actually prefer male narrator…..Adam Barr is my favorite

Good story except Madeline

Story is pretty good but the "annoying" voice for Madison you do should have be left to the imagination. Its too much.
