They are good apps, but they focus too much on chords database and chord progressions. They forget that chords exists as way to harmonize a top note, and none of those have features specifically to bridge chords with a melody note. They work fine for genres that tend to have blocky chords or are chords oriented in general.

None exists. I tried them all (hook theory, scaler, mindful harmony, chordie, chord jam..). I am working on a solution currently for that. It’s a google sheet at the moment
I have a huge problem in memorizing and recalling chord notes without playing them. Any tips on how to approach or any exercises i can do to improve on that? Thanks 🎵
Now you mention it I'm almost always either at an instrument or the computer when working with chords! Overtime they just start to sink into my memory, so beyond repetition I don't have any immediate strategies. I'll make a note and let you know if I come across a better way!

Thanks for an excellent video. I find Mindful Harmony to be fantastic and now a key part of my composition process.
Yeah it's useful and had some good recent updates.
Very useful info, thanks

Any apps for harmonizing a melody that you recommend?
I don't use any that do it automatically, but I imagine they exist. I'll look into it!

Hook theory is where I learned how to play "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest on the piano.
