As the video kept going i thought... this is a really good Neuro bass... then i read in the description that's Joe Ford doing it! Of course it's frickin awesome!
AMAZING! My background is mainly orchestral writing, so this look behind the scenes inspires a completely different approach to music creation, which is friggin awesome! Love your libraries and tutorials. Thanks so much for posting this - I will surely re-watch this many times. Cheers!
Big up Joe and Keepforest for these past few videos, loads of this can be applied to bass heavy electronic music such as Drum & Bass as well. Oh and may I say this new Devastator library is sounding really nice from what I've seen from it so far!
This is an exceptional tutorial but i'd love to see it achieved with free plugins, as a challenge! I have 75% of the plugins you used but I can't get close, and surely it's not just a pay-to-win thing
Crazy sounds wow! :D Maybe I'll get to know the genre better myself and maybe try doing something like that for fun, because that sound is insanely great! 💥
Awesome stuff! I knew most of the techniques but haven't seen them put together so well and inspiringly - a masterful sound design. Question: this "feedback" is a "fake feedback" through higher pitch sounds randomly coming in, right? Or am I missing something about Serum being able to create a "true" feedback?
Thanks for the effort put into this video. I've got some questions about the effects chain as I'm not able to follow and get nearly the same results. How are the plugins applied to the sounds? Are all sounds routed into channel one, which is then routed into two where trash is applied and so on?
Great libraries! I admit I’m a little confused as to the differences between Warzone, Deathmatch and Breakout, as they seem to be all very similar. What are the major differences between them?
I think of them as more “generations”. Devastator Breakout is probably the most “polished” one out of the 3. It’s WAY more sound design and way more combinations than the others. This one has the touch of Joe Ford, who’s a badass sound designer and a known famous member of the DnB community. Cheers!
Amazing Bass! I love it! Can someone pls explain how to route this channels? I understand how the sub and and the octave and fifth and serum works and after the 4 channels are paralell, but where do the plugs go? Is there a main channel where he puts morph eq? And convo? I dont understand
The approach you choose ultimately depends on the specific slope you're aiming to achieve. You have two primary options at your disposal: adjusting the volume balance across channels, or creating a smooth filtering EQ curve on Group master channel
Yeah there are a few, the closest is Kilohearts Disperser, although there are some free ones too but I can't seem to find them right now. Mfreeformphase is free and does something similar :)
What's your workflow when triggering the bass sections you like the most? As in, do you load them all in different one-shot samplers? All in one multisampler? Thank you!! @@FordDnb

also known as: the million dollar bass
damn thats a lot of plugins
yeah would be great to create that in ableton with base plug ins
There should be substitutions for every one of these plugins though :) it’s possible!
You can absolutely do it with minimal Plufins and get a very very simliar sound.
@@jesusquintanilla308 I can make Mick Gordon songs with stock FL Plugins. It's fairly easy, but a ton of work
Love this dude. Creating crazy heavy basses but sounding like he is on a chill stroll.

These are the best Mick Gordon tutorials and they just keep getting better. I'd love to see more!
Best mick gordon tutorial I have seen
Thanks!

Joe is the man. Absolutely love his sound design! 🖤
Thanks buddy!
I love this sound. It has meat and rhythm in itself
ty a lot for teaching this bro!
Nobodies high cut saw wave sounds like that...
Would love to see you tackle giant robotic atmos and braams. Mass effect reaper style

This program is now my staple sample transformer next to travelizer, absolute beast.
This is an amazing concept for tutorials! It’s both useful and shows off Devastator quite well.
Annnnd we're back! Thank you Joe!!!!!
#LETSGO!!!!
Getting Amon Tobin vibes from this and I love it.
This is truly a gem for a guy "me" that listened to Mick's stuff and instantly wanted to make similar sounds. Thank you! ❤️
Crazy sounds wow! :D Maybe I'll get to know the genre better myself and maybe try doing something like that for fun, because that sound is insanely great! 💥
Oh to have the time and DAW to do this! Garage Band IOS is so limited!!!
Damn, this is just insane. Thank you for this trasure
Hudge work !!! i can't follow your workflow and all those plugings i don't have , Super work ! Great Alchimy THANKS !!!
Wow this is incredible, thankss
Joe is on another level man!
Loved this!!! So cool to see some behind the scenes from Joe, big fan!
This is really great, now I understand the process. Thank you so much🤟🏾
Total insanity, I love this stuff
this is magiccccccc i was shocked you are really genius thank u so much

Excellent 👌🏻
So crazy. Absolute Gigachad and W video.
Bitwig, I knew you were a sound design company of culture.
Is that Logics sampler? Im using cubase and I can't figure out how to play multiple samples.
What'd be a good sampler or is there a work around?
Love this! What DAW is being used here?
Bitwig :)

@@YungstarProd I have it now- sounds amazing!
they're a part of the same series, they're completely different plugins but are all trying to go for industrial sounds
Genius!
INSANE !

How can i create an instrument rack like this in Cubase?
I started to recreate this with serum. Quickly realized that it cannot be done. A lot of information is missing.
Joe Ford is that you?
Please, tell us your personal youtube channel where you doing this in Vital with stock ableton plugins🙏😂
0:58 what sampler is that?
Bitwig (My DAW) stock sampler
Mate this sounds soo good, somewhat I imagine a firearm ads
I love these DOOM / Mick Gordon inspired videos! 🤘🤘
Hey, whenever I do this, my sound ends up having way to much mid to high frequency distortion. Is there anything I can do to change this?

can you explain how to use convolver? When i try to use it i get very washed and reverberated sound.
I think he is moving other plugin parameters as well when doing that!
what DAW do you use?
AWESOME VIDEO! ✨💛✨💛✨
What sampler is that?
kontakt, daw bitwig
What on the earth is this. Thats insane
Wow
are busses 1-4 SERIAL or PARALLEL?
they are parallel. Imagine that each channel is FREQ cut layer for more clearance and flexibility
all shades chains - its going 200+ heartz and on final stage nice will feet glue compresor on master chanel or group.
@@keepforest so the combination of the sine waves + serum is sent to bus 1-4? I guess in cubase I would need to have pre fader FX sends to do that.
Is there a master bus? Is that modified in any way? Or just the 4 paralell channels are?
So serum does the job here as we see
"...and some plugins" lol its like 95% of the sound is plugins and very little Devastator...still sounds killer though \m/
feel like i shouldve paid to watch this
what a shame i don't use ableton...
Honestly the DAW really doesn't matter, this can be done in literally any DAW

Wow
