Awesome additions and hope everything goes smooth! Looking forward to the turtle additions! Thanks for sharing dude! Keep up the great work and that pond is crystal clear that’s so awesome! Great video! See you next video take care man!
Ive been watching your vids for years, ever since you fed the turtles the watermelon and bass the shad, a cool name for your catfish could be Whiskers!! Love your videos!! Keep up the good work!
So happy for the variety of fish as they're put into the most beautiful pond! Aww Phantom seems to look at the camera like a sweet puppy! Only in my dreams will I have this♡
This pond may be a bit too small for it to sustain lot of predator fish. Do you plan on feeding them every day? I don't see any baitfish in the pond for the bass and catfish to eat.
Also I forgot to mention but both the bass and catfish are pellet-trained which means they have been eating fish pellets since they were born. A lot of their natural hunting instinct has disappeared and it’s best that they are fed.
For a name, if I recall correctly you had Odie and Garfield as former names of cats. So to go with that Garfield character theme, either Nermal or Jon...or maybe Arbuckle if you prefer the last name to Jon.
Fyi, a BASS needs 10 pounds of forage (aka: bait or feed) to gain a single pound. So, you might wanna establish a live feeder colony, possibly shiners or freshwater long-armed prawns. Or maybe even some small sunfish, pumpkinseeds or even tilapia, which are strong breeders, but die-off come winter temps. You can simply collect any pan-fishes that get too large for said pond & release them in your native lakes & ponds. As for any large tilapia, you can simply catch then fillet them for additional tilapia fillet feeding strips. WIN-WIN-WIN. Plus, those pan-fishes will control any mosquito fish & tadpole population explosions... So, add a 4th WIN to the chain on that note too. Ty.
Thoughts on a couple choupique. Cajun French (pronounced shoe-pick) or Bowfin. Another prehistoric fish like the gar. We eat them here in cajun country.
I used to work in the pet trade, sold a lot of fish. Learned one thing .if a fish can fit it in their mouth...they can and will eat it. Big blue or blue steal would be an ok name for the catfish.
He said in a previous videos comments he wanted to add a big piece of driftwood to the middle... It should have been in the pond before he added any fish at all. And it probably still won't be enough for all these dudes since it sounds like he wants to add turtles too. BamaBass added tons of barrels and branches to their giant pond before any fish were added, their pond is way bigger of course but it shows that a lot more planning went into theirs. No disrespect for the fish whisperer but I'm worried he's biting off more than he can chew, last time he wanted his ponds "crystal clear" and then everything died since the fish and turtles had no hiding spots or protection from the sun or predators.
@@sshuckle I agree somewhat, I have seen some disasters in ponds and fish tanks. The last mistake was my own, I put my neighbors turtles red ears in my pond and the turtles killed my assortment of size not less than 13 inches, the turtles 2 maybe a 4 / 5 inch they were raised on pellets but their natural instincts kicked in. She released them in the lake a few months later. And I shut my pond down. I had fish etc for 30 plus years, worked in a pet store 10 years , I have some stories.
My pond has a much different goal than most in that I want the fish to rely on me for food. Adding tons of hiding spots makes it hard for me to film and train the fish. If I wanted a self- sufficient pond I would load it with structure and baitfish but that isn’t my goal for this pond.
I’m certain that it’d be impractical, but I would’ve loved it if you could’ve transported Ode the catfish and the blind bass from the original pond. It’d make for a nice “retirement” pond for them.
I like how the catfish just gave up in the net instantly and just laid there like a hotdog
The catfish’s name could be Dog - since he “just laid there like a hotdog” and he’s a CATfish.
"Oh. Well, my time has come, i guess" - Catfish, 2024
@@childofpersia1213 I think Doug would be a good name too
Feels like it was yesterday watching the old pond videos 😭 them bass were nuts!
Me too, whatever happened to Brazos and the original crew?
Odie the catfish! Love watching your pond evolve. Looking forward to the turtles 🐢.
YES bring back odie!!
The pond is coming along nicely, I hope the cat fish has found a good spot.
Dude, you're the Steve Erwin of freshwater ponds. I'm totally speechless!!!
Your new pond is amazing, this is the first time I've seen it up close and from within. Great work.
Beautiful pond! Just keeps getting better and better. Bring on the turtles!
Bluey the Catfish! 😂😂❤❤❤
To,
Tom
I heard turtles. Now I am getting even more excited!
yay! turtles! I've said this before, but your older turtle videos is what would help my daughter wind down for the day when she was 3 or so. excited!

Kyle, it’s so entertaining seeing your videos once again.
i have loved you since you were feeding turtles! thanks!(great camera work, btw!)

Think everyone is waiting for TURTLES!
The underwaterfootage is so cool! Hopefully the bass grow a little more confident soon 😊
This pond may be a bit too small for it to sustain lot of predator fish. Do you plan on feeding them every day? I don't see any baitfish in the pond for the bass and catfish to eat.
Yes I plan to feed them everyday. Once I get the bass trained I will add some supplemental baitfish
I was going to mention that before seeing your comment. The point is to get them friendly so can be hand fed. :). Can’t wait to see the progress!
Also I forgot to mention but both the bass and catfish are pellet-trained which means they have been eating fish pellets since they were born. A lot of their natural hunting instinct has disappeared and it’s best that they are fed.
@@TheFishWhisperer1 I understand now. It is like the native fish version of a koi pond. Cool
I agree, and no cave hiding places for them, I have anxiety watching this 😂

I second this. Nermal would be a great name.
I didn't even know hybrid blue/channel catfish was a thing, very cool! Love the video!!
So happy you are back to makin vids!!!
Love your new pond! It’s growing! Bring on the turtles 🐢 🐢
Awesome addition! The Catfish might bully the gar
nah they to small feels like the other way around
You have my backyard dream, congrats
64 👍's up fish whisperer thank you for sharing 🤗
The pond looks like it's doing great! Excited to see more developments like the log and toitles.
Catnip for the catfish!
No Shakira Shakira is the best name
Second bass has a heron wound. He’s a survivor.
I hope you and all the fishes are happy with the new pond!
Glad you're back....its been a minute!
The pond looks great.
I love the rubberized net!
I think you should try to raise a school of shad in the pond it would be cool to see the gar try to hunt
Awesome addition!
What happened to the bass you stocked in those ponds last year?
A flood happened last spring and it washed them out into the neighboring property

Nice looking bass❤❤😂😂😂
Great video!
Beautiful fish mate!
Get a few dozen live shad for a renewable food source. Maybe some perch or bluegill too.
Do the bass eat shad too? I like the new fish. I hope they love it there. The catfish could be called catman. Just a thought.😊
They ate fish pellets at the hatchery but hopefully I can train them to eat shad
imagine catnip growing into the size of the gar
Hope you add baitfish for some enrichment for the bass
Hunter for the Catfish.
I like turtles!

Great video.
Welcome back to the bass and cats. Maybe too many Gar?
Awsome dude you did it.
Wonderful ❤
I believe there is a filter you can use on the camera to minimize the glare from the surface of the pond.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE raise a red tail catfish, and put it in the pond once it’s big enough. 😩😬
Yes please
Bob Ross of Keeper of the Fish 😊
You should add an area with some more underwater plants where minnows can hide from bass/catfish
Tahm Kench from league would fit that catfish perfectly. And phantom has been eating alot have the others besides brazes been keeping up?
You should get a giant flathead cat, that would be awesome
I miss the turtles, esp Tank.
Did he leave them in the old pond ?? Or did they die ?
@@pabloramos420he’s just gone
Original is a public pond he visited to feed the local residents. Pity because I really do miss the turtles, bass and Edward.
Tank is still there somewhere. It was a pond in my parents neighborhood. They sold their house.
@@TheFishWhisperer1 Awesome!
I grew attached to the old ponds and their inhabitants 😭😭😭 Hopefully this pond works out 🤞
I like the name "Marvin" for that one catfish. I dunno why, it just seems like it fits.
The new catfish could be called Brodie or something else similar to Odie :D
I used to work in the pet trade, sold a lot of fish. Learned one thing .if a fish can fit it in their mouth...they can and will eat it. Big blue or blue steal would be an ok name for the catfish.
Whiskers could be a name for the cat fish.
I hope they learn to feed quickly
That’s awesome it would be awesome to add a flat head catfish
Cant wait for the turtles!
I think the cat should be Odie again in memory of your old cat!
You really need to add hiding places for the fish , so much anxiety 😬.

Name the catfish tartar sauce
Now you need a bowfin in there
The 🐢 catfish and bass are cool. The gar not my fave. Love the videos.

Azure would be a good name for the catfish
The catfish is fast! His name is Dale.
Can large crayfish survive with the Gar..be cool see them in the pond...they can get large as your hand
Used to keep a bullhead with a green sunfish and it was tough to feed him because he was a bottom feeder while my sunfish was always on top
Skittle, Tank,7, M&M, bring back ALL the turtles!
is there any way to make the water clearer? maybe freshwater clams or oysters?
Have you tried getting a lense for your camera to see through the water glare?
Bluto the catfish, like the guy in Popeye comics.
Do you still go back to the OG pond every now and then to feed the turtles and bass and catfish and Edgar?
What happened to long nose gar
Man, you gotta get a native Sturgeon if you can..
Catfish: "Whiskers"
I’m thinking of eventually keeping a shortnose. What’s the parameters you keep them at?
Would you ever put a gopro on a fish or use some fish-like drone to watch them over hours underwater?
I'd call the catfish Shark...he just looks like a shark with whiskers.
Nice!
A fish following another consistently is aggression .... constant stress is just as deadly .
It’s not aggressive behavior all the time you didn’t see them nip at each other either so you can’t just assume that it’s aggressive activity.
You should call Odie's cousin Brodie!
Turtles, Turtles, Turtles. Bring them on.....
Do alligator gar eat largemouth bass?
Those alligator gar aren’t big enough to eat them, nor hunt them.
Very rarely. They much prefer shad and carp to largemouth bass.
Beatfull pont wauw 😍😍😍 love your video’s
Hunter......Catfish Hunter...like the pitcher
Will you get different species of turtles or same that were in the original pond??
The same species. Red eared sliders are my favorite
Maybe call one of the turtles tank junior!
OL Blue!!!
@4:16 "Hi :)"
Lmao my favourite part honestly,”I heard a noise is it food time?”. 😂
TURTLES INCOMMIN!
Whats the wound behind the dorsal fin on the Bass ?
