      Dude you are crushing those berms!!! I had no idea you were that close behind! My bad for getting on the brake in the end there, I felt like I came into that one way too fast. Nice job on the new trails and keep having fun!! Im going to try the slack headset position next time im out on the sj.

    18:32 honestly your body separation looks really good here. I think you just spooked yourself a bit bc you railed that turn so and caught up to the leading rider so fast.. You even almost saved for a split second bc your form was pretty good!!!

      Thanks so much man! Yeah it was a combination of things for sure. The rider in front kind of got high on the exit so he really had to slow up and I panicked a little bit and hit the front brake a little too much and gave too much input. Just asked too much of that front tire and it let go. All good though!

    Way to go brother!!! Glad to see you push the envelope a little bit each ride. You’re kicking ass Lucas. I’m gonna miss these vids when ski season starts up…
    Glad you got to try a stumpy. I figured the slack head tube angle is a great fit for where you ride.

      thanks so much shawn! trying to progress in a safe and smart way for sure. im stoked i found something that can compliment the ski videos in the summer. definitely adds a lot for us moving forward!

    Looking good! Definetly noticed betwen all the videos and I think the last crash speaks for itself; need to get a little more distance between you and the next rider. Then you can expect the unexpected, right now the unxpected is the unexpected for you still.

    Might be the first time you have mentioned skidders. Please be cautious on publicizing the unsanctioned trails once you start finding all the other skidders. PC has some great stuff if you know where to look.

      I understand, but at the rate you are progressing you'll be on the steep-tech-unsanctioned stuff fairly soon

    Buy a good set of pedals and then just switch them on/off any rental bikes. Its a contact point that makes a big difference. Deity deftrap are great if you want more affordable composite.

    • @LucasCatania17
      @LucasCatania17  11 місяців тому +1

      such a good idea. the pedals are always hit or miss and usually miss with rentals..

    Any thoughts on putting a 1-3ft invisible selfie stick in front of the bike mounted on the handle bar so we can see you maneuver on the bike, body weight, hands, pedals etc

      My guess is that the full 29 is not as nimble as the smaller set ups but absorbs a lot more..

    • @LucasCatania17
      @LucasCatania17  11 місяців тому

      all of the front forks are pressurized with air - so it knows how much to compress when loaded with weight and forces of the terrain! if its not enough pressure, you'll compress the fork all the way which is no beuno!
