massive thank you to @jayskis for his continued guidance and encouragement on this MTB journey!
i am just so stoked that we continue learning new things and progressing each time we get out on the bike!
Dude you are crushing those berms!!! I had no idea you were that close behind! My bad for getting on the brake in the end there, I felt like I came into that one way too fast. Nice job on the new trails and keep having fun!! Im going to try the slack headset position next time im out on the sj.
Jayskis with another cameo....great day!
Haha yes! Jay is the best
Amazing… “Rock’n” double blacks already … And With JaySki 👌 Stoked
haha thanks breaux!
18:32 honestly your body separation looks really good here. I think you just spooked yourself a bit bc you railed that turn so and caught up to the leading rider so fast.. You even almost saved for a split second bc your form was pretty good!!!
Thanks so much man! Yeah it was a combination of things for sure. The rider in front kind of got high on the exit so he really had to slow up and I panicked a little bit and hit the front brake a little too much and gave too much input. Just asked too much of that front tire and it let go. All good though!
Shout-out to Trail Dad Jay. He a real one for not getting you killed out there 😂🤙🏻
trail dad jay - your go to summer and winter protector
Way to go brother!!! Glad to see you push the envelope a little bit each ride. You’re kicking ass Lucas. I’m gonna miss these vids when ski season starts up…
Glad you got to try a stumpy. I figured the slack head tube angle is a great fit for where you ride.
thanks so much shawn! trying to progress in a safe and smart way for sure. im stoked i found something that can compliment the ski videos in the summer. definitely adds a lot for us moving forward!
Looking good! Definetly noticed betwen all the videos and I think the last crash speaks for itself; need to get a little more distance between you and the next rider. Then you can expect the unexpected, right now the unxpected is the unexpected for you still.
Dooooope!! Would be cool to have you bring us behind the scenes of your bike purchase (whenever that happens).
Love seeing your subs creeping up!
👏👏
definitely will when that time comes haha! and yeah dude YT shorts have been a savior!
Jskis is the man!
Amen!!
Was cheering for you Yaaaa Way to get it done
Ha thanks!!
Have have gotten so much better in such a short time. Keep riding love one vids kudos go out to Jay for helping you.
thanks bon! stoked to keep progressing.
Dang bro ! You are getting so good. Cant wait to see you with your own bike soon
appreciate that bro! hopefully soon
Love how Lucas went from "I've never ridden MTB before!" to "My first Double Black" in like a month. Crushing it.
ha! it could probably be rated a single black..
Right on brotha good riding
thanks bro!
Might be the first time you have mentioned skidders. Please be cautious on publicizing the unsanctioned trails once you start finding all the other skidders. PC has some great stuff if you know where to look.
This is a sanctioned trail at deer valley!
I understand, but at the rate you are progressing you'll be on the steep-tech-unsanctioned stuff fairly soon
Buy a good set of pedals and then just switch them on/off any rental bikes. Its a contact point that makes a big difference. Deity deftrap are great if you want more affordable composite.
such a good idea. the pedals are always hit or miss and usually miss with rentals..
Jay is the man!!
Yes he is!
Very good video...enjoyed it very much....thank you
Thank you pat!
I definitely think Jay is rival plant trying to take you out. Just look at that TGR placement...
thats what im saying! ulterior motives..
Dude, I have the same bike! So much progression, keep it up!
lets go dude such a fun bike!
Maybe you can get back to Mammoth and check out their MTB Park now that ski season there is finally over. Great progression! I like the technical stuff.
Yeah I’ve been wanting to check out more bike parks for sure! The tech stuff is so fun 🙌🏽
Can’t wait for the premiere!
Thanks for the support man!
Any thoughts on putting a 1-3ft invisible selfie stick in front of the bike mounted on the handle bar so we can see you maneuver on the bike, body weight, hands, pedals etc
Equivalent to catching an edge on a cat walk. Nice.
Hahaha yep pretty much
Good shit brother
thanks dude
Great video
Thanks bro!
Almost had that root corner. Next time.
I know dude ha! So close
Yewwwwww!
Yeww
I have heard good things about Specialized..
I have never seen anyone putting air in the shocks..
My guess is that the full 29 is not as nimble as the smaller set ups but absorbs a lot more..
all of the front forks are pressurized with air - so it knows how much to compress when loaded with weight and forces of the terrain! if its not enough pressure, you'll compress the fork all the way which is no beuno!
@@LucasCatania17 Thank you.. I am learning a lot by watching your videos..
