Matilda Read Aloud - Chapter 1 Part 1

Welcome Back Friends to Chapter book Friday!
The book we are starting and will be reading for the next few weeks is Matilda!
We begin with chapter 1. In this chapter we meet a little girl named Matilda, her brother, and her parents. She is very bright, funny, and a joy to be around. However, her parents do not see those same qualities in her and leave her to her own devices because they have more important things to do. While alone, she discovers a library near her home and she walks there everyday to read and enjoy the adventures she has in those books. We also meet Mrs. Phelps for the first time. She is the library and the only person who sees the wonder and joy of Matilda.
