The Academy would be stupid if they didn’t get Gabriel to host. If they are worried about viewership numbers, get Fluffy! He’s guaranteed to bring in numbers because he’s not problematic at all
to the academy it's all about reputation...don;t get me wrong i'm 100% team Gabriel but i see the issue here. the academy would take one look at his material and be like...yeah no...thi guy is going to ruin us.
@@IDyce88 I can understand that. Especially since Gabriel is one of those comedians where he acknowledges the white elephant in the room and he’s going to make material out of that. The Academy I think does have some issues that they probably don’t want to talk about.
@@scottibrown3274 the elephant should always be acknowledged IMO...that's how i live my life too, if there is something people don't want the public to talk about in a room...i'll be the first to bring it up.
@@IDyce88 true, that the elephant should always be acknowledged. But when it comes to Hollywood, the elephant should be ignored and don’t like it when it is acknowledged
The standard they hold people to for performing some of these jobs are almost inhuman, and yet somehow they're still shocked when they can't find anybody to do it
This clip cut off early, but he thinks the joke that lost him the job was about him as a Mexican doing a job that Americans didn't want to do (an argument used by proponents of illegal immigrants).
Cancel culture where cancel culture is due, but Kevin Hart recognized his mistake, apologized, and went on to live differently based upon his apology. Cancel culture shouldn’t be used to punish anyone who’s ever done anything, it should be used to advocate that something someone is doing RIGHT NOW is harmful or detrimentally offensive to a community. It’s not a punishment, it’s a public statement, any other use is an abuse of public (and social) power
Cancel culture needs to go away, its been years and I still hear stuff about Benedict Cumberbatch needing to be cancelled because a far far family branch did something, i dont even rememebr what it was anymore. Stupid.
I understand if it was 2 or 3 years ago, but 10? We all have baggage and yes, Kevin Hart apologized. The academy just wants someone with a nice clean squeaky reputation, good luck with that. The reason I don't respect cancel culture is because they want to be taken seriously and I'm not going to give it to them.
Guy makes mistake and apologizes for it. Ten years later, the mistake gets dug up from the dead, and he is expected to apologize AGAIN to make it go away? How does that work?
Gabriel Iglesias a.k.a Fluffy the Academy is stupid for not having you in their show is alright they lost a Great Show you wouldn't about to show the world but is their lost not yours ❤😊❤
Luckily that was sort of the beginning of the end of cancel culture. Some people want us to believe that it's still ruining people, but if anything, getting cancelled is actually beneficial to a comic's career now. Every time someone tries to cancel a comedian, they get a huge Netflix deal. So it actually does the opposite now.
If i were Gabriel Iglesias aka fluffy i wouldn't accept Mexican television hosting i would rather host an mlb game, an mls game an nba or nhl bruh you can eat , drink , have fun and watch the game all day while in concerts your just getting dressed multiple times and standing. Sitting up and down while on spirts hosting you can have more fun

Cancel culture and the me too community are a plague so, no.
Exactly, I hate cancel culture.
There’s another older way to do “cancel culture”: just forget about them, and let them fall into irrelevancy.

Watching this while eating lunch, perfect time to release
Kevin basically gave them the middle finger and they didn't recognize it.

Yes.
No more context
Viewership has been down for years because people realized how ray ray ray cist they are
He would have brought Frankie to Oscar and have made Frankie embarrass 😂
Wait no! You cut the video too early! lol
Makes a wonderful point. It’s just perfect is it not?? Like most american productions. 😂😂😂

I hate that Term Cancel Culture but it’s both sad and true. I’m just glad that many are standing up to it!
Academy rejected fluffy because they scare Fluffy gonna steal his show.

I heard fluffy is retiring somewhere in August this year
Gabriel Iglesias is my first and foremost comedian .we need a renewed sense of humor and love. Laugh at yourself and accept things.

Now Barack Obama likes cancel culture.
