    "Konnan is somehow a man who looks fat, muscly and lanky at the same time."
    That made me laugh because of how true that looks. Also, the episode where AJ holds a chainsaw and the one where Sonny "Don't Look At My Ass" Siaki got his nickname from!
    Also holy crap that Raven promo in the 2nd ep was just...he must have been tripping on some substance before the show.

      @Bhumibol Rushing I gaged my ears to 5/8 when I was in college. I really don't have any feeling left in my lobes. This is why Randy Orton could stick a screwdriver through Jeff Hardy's lobe and twist.

      @@theitfactorjameswheezer2852 His second wm match with Undertaker was HHH's first major run as a part time competitor. He wasn't really a 100% because he was injured with a concussion after his run with Sheamus the year prior. But his body was already breaking down but he was in the best shape just to have the match and it was a hell of a performance. I thought he should've beaten him at the time.

    This is actually the lead-up to New Jack vs. Gypsy Joe, which would happen soon after. Nashville had another NWA affiliate at the time that would borrow TNA talent like Brian Lee and Chase Stevens, and a young Ken Anderson (with ODB) Shawn Daivari and Ken Doane. It was with this affiliate (NWA Main Event) that Gypsy wrestled at the time, so they borrowed Jack for the match. The rest is unfortunate history.

      Apparently, he would always say that word back then just as a joke. There's even a video on UA-cam called "AJ Styles being problematic" where it's just a compilation of him saying that word.

    • @planescaped
      @planescaped 2 роки тому +7

      @@RC99_Productions There was a time in the 90's and 00's where it had become quite a common generalized slang insult, spreading through the early internet mostly. You saw it everywhere, and next to no one meant it in _that way_
      That was put a stop to with extreme prejudice in the late 00's.
      Hence that South Park episode. It was based on real events and the changing definition of the f @ gundam word. You had a whole generation and a half who saw it and the r-e-late for class word as no different that fuck or shit. Kind of a shame in a way the definition was reeled back... Though I can also understand just not wanting people saying it at all.
      Which let's face it, is never gonna happen.

    Very happy to see AJ Styles show up on Slammiversary for that quick shout out to Impact/TNA.
    He really did build TNA.
    It was to the point where he was pretty much 'ran out' of the company, but lead to a greater blessing for him and his family I am sure.
