it's a Skerry Overall length = 4.58 m, maximum width = 1.37 m, Great little boat ! clcboats.com/shop/boats/wooden-sailboat-kits/skerry/skerry-rowing-sailing-dinghy-kit.html
Quite original to have the masthead view as you hoist sail & get underway. You even get the audio as it changes from light winds to heavier BUT I've always thought those cheap mikes on action cameras telegraph excessive wind noise & becomes a nuisance after about 15 seconds. I like what you have done overall & the boat looks very fine
It is true that the wind can quickly disturb. This is a "Camsport EVO HD". Since then it broke and I now have a "GoPro Hero 2018" with which I am very satisfied (especially the voice control, very useful with both hands busy!
Just started building my skerry. I'm stretching it by 10% to 16.5 ft long and increasing the beam proportionally as well. Thanks for posting the great videos!
Thank you! ... my Skerry is standard but the sail is bigger (7.2 m²), it is a sail which was on a Doris 17 from CLC. Emmanuel Conrath (Arwen Marine, in France) made a "big Skerry" with a 20% increase in dimensions: www.arwenmarine.com/ProjetGSKa.html
21,945 views, l think half of them were just me. Love your little Skerry, I'm about to start stitching mine together. Looking forward to some summer sailing. Perth Australia.
Very beautiful boat! Well done. Is it the Skerry from from CLC? If so, how did you like the plans? Are you satisfied witz the sailing characteristics such as maneuverability and speed in low winds. Which angle can you go to the wind?
Hello, Yes it is a Skerry CLC (imported in France by Arwen Marine). It is an easy boat to build. YES... YES ! I love this small boat, very stable, very handy thanks to the "Scandinavian drawbar" (tiller in English?). It is light, so works well even in light winds. It goes back to the wind and it is possible to improve again with a sail "jib" but it's not necessary. I had this type of sail at the beginning: ua-cam.com/video/G1ZO0uRlIt0/v-deo.html ...but I prefer the new one (easier to use): ua-cam.com/video/XrqOqPnGg0I/v-deo.html I hope my English translation is good! (thank you Google Translate!)
@@gisskerrykeleren3614 Hi, no worries, your rnglish is fine. So you changed the sprit sail for a lug rig as my scamp has one (look here: martins-dock.jimdofree.com/ or on my youtube blog matins dock). Which one gives you better sailing performance? Are both rigs included in the plans?
Martins Dock plans wise I do not believe they are both included, though I could be wrong, if you were to go with the kit route they’re roughly the same price. I’ve got the sprit rig and while it is very nice I can already see it’s going to be a pain to reef. I’d definitely recommend giving CLC a call they’ve been extremely helpful in all the communications I’ve had with them! Good luck!
hello beautiful video and beautiful sailboat. I would like to ask you if it would be a good boat for the waters of the Rio de la Plata in Buenos Aires, which is a river that resembles the sea. greetings and thanks!
Hello, the place where I sail the most is also a river (which arrives at sea after the "Barrage de la Rance", a tidal power plant). I have also sailed at sea with it without problem (maybe a little low, the water manages to pass a little in it when it moves a lot. So yes, in my opinion it is OK. For more information ask the manufacturer: www.clcboats.com/ Good (future) navigations 🙂!

@@BEIBECKERS The 2 sails are good but my new is easier to get on and off, so better security.
