When i feel like wanna play something with hidden rage i tend to play it faster and louder too... There is something deep and hurt in this song no matter ow you play it.

The Moonlight Sonata's 1st Movement is an emotive and evocative masterpiece that leaves a lasting impression on the listener. The composition is shrouded in a sense of darkness, melancholy and sadness, but it is also undeniably beautiful and haunting. The music is able to elicit a range of emotions, from disappointment to calmness, in a strange and alluring way. The piece is a true work of art, one that will leave you in awe and contemplation.
Cosa vuoi aggiungere, una suonata armoniosa in tutta la lunghezza della tastiera del piano, sublime il ritornar del sonetto, paradisiaca la sua percezione immortale che solo un genio poteva creare....
Music is just capable of passing emotion way better than words, it's like this song makes me so angry and sad yet it's so beautiful to listen too. It's like the feeling of wanting to get better, like being put on a battlefield knowing you have to kill the enemy to survive, it's just the enemy is yourself. (sorry for it i hope someone can relate)
thats what ive been saying, its not supposed to be slow and sad but frustrated and angered, my father doesnt like it when i play it fast (i dont play all of it ofc im not that good)
This reminds me as a Christian God speaks to us in the secret of thunder, I just feel like he's trying to get our attention time is short and Jesus is coming soon, and are we ready
I do think, as many others do, that this movement IS usually played too slowly; however....this is too speedy for my taste (it sounds as though the pianist is in a rush to get away... 😁) I think what I do when playing it, is to play both the melody and the left-hand accompaniment slowly, but I am careful NOT to play the triplets as overly slow (if that makes sense 🤔).
Would sound better if you ignored Beethoven's remarks about Fortepiano dampers and judiciously use the piano dampers in order to achieve some clarity when played in cut-time - two to the bar.
Whenever I listen to this music, all I remember is Lord Shadow.

Love it. This is just how I love playing this 1st movement. So much energy in the piece. Wasted when playing it slow

In my opinion this is best when only 1st movement is played, while should be very slow if all movements are played to make an accelerating expansion.
La lune est occultée par l'orage dans cette interprétation 🎶🌩️🎶
Finally, a version that isn't unbearably slow and inaudible. Like, I get that it's adagio pp, but...
you do?
It's not though. It was written to be played about this speed. People have ruined it by slowing it down to a crawl.
@@scotty6glove I swear so many pianists forget its alla breve. They count on 4 and thats why its so slow
i’m coming back when i learn and memorize this piece! let’s see how long this will take 😊.

Ironically enough, the sheet music is written in 8th notes which is the tempo this recording is played at.
Interesting. It made me think of poor LVB's frustration at going deaf!
That's not how tempo works. The sheet music could be written in semibreves but with a high enough tempo marking you couldn't tell.
