This is a better showing than last year. People had their doubts about Tesla in the beginning. And Tesla has overcome much of the stigma trail blazing already. I'd drive an electric car, but I want at least 1 physical mirror.
Why just Bend Test? Start with the scratch test then move to the Bend test and this time keep the burn test for the end. :P It would be awesome if we also get a drop test LOL hehehe
prominent531 Maybe in America, but in most of western Europe I imagine just electric is the future. The UK has just announced this week that most cars produced for the UK will be electric by 2030 and most European countries have already banned the production of Diesel engine cars. America produces alot of its own fuel, but for countries that have to import the majority, there is more of an incentive for alternatives and greener options. Considering that Europe has a population considerably more than America, it will probably effect America's manufacturing export and force them to produce more electric models too.
Abdulrahman Kroomi Won't be long until it's phased out in countries trying. The UK currently produces 50% of its energy through low carbon ways. Coal has almost been completely phased out, it makes up less then 5% of the energy industry, maybe even less. Most the large energy suppliers in the UK have electric car tariffs where the energy has been produced 100% by renewable sources. So, I think it will be safe to say that the majority if not all energy in the UK will be green, although I do t know how nuclear power fits in here. It doesn't really produce a carbon footprint, but I wouldn't exactly say it is good for the environment either.
Well, with most of the car companies releasing electric versions of their already existing models, there will be quite a big lineup coming up... Don't know, if the battery will be a huge upgrade to now, though...
wow, that last thought of the car having wireless charging by just rolling into the garage is just tooooooooooo sweet. Brilliant Idea mate. I do hope Faraday Future try and make it happen.
That car is freaking amazing. I'm jealous you got to ride in one. Tearing apart cell phones one day... Riding in the car of the future the next. Who'd have guessed!? lol
Faraday Future has no money!! They are spending all their money on stupid stuff! Their Nevada battery facility isn't even built yet and as I know the construction was haulted!! The same car was there in CES 2017. We see it in CES and then it vanishes. What's the point?
João Vitor Rodrigues Ya I did think the same way... Then I realised the investment was made on LeEco(FF's parent company)... And there are a lot of loopholes... I guess this might have pleased the investors and the consumers but there are a lot of loopholes. I really have no problems with the company's vision but I don't like there way of execution and that's why I don't trust them!!
I don't agree with getting rid of mirrors, atleast when your mirror gets dirty you can usually see out of some part of it. If the camera lense gets a speck of dirt on it you're doomed.
real life human eyes never get a speck of dirt on them for the entirety of their 100 year lifespan. Maybe the cameras will have little eyelashes and little tear ducts to clean them automatically. Like windshield wipers.
Then try something a bit more hardcore like NIO EP9. Yes its faster over a Race Track than Rimac Concept_One. Built for different purposes. Rimac is a Street Car, NIO EP9 is a Race Car.
Amazing and is good for market. Monopoly is always bad so Faraday is a great competition for Tesla. I keep my thumbs for this company. Great work Jerry for discovering new interesting stuff and showing this for us👍
As far as this go, we cannot take this video seriously but as a reference. If you go research yourself and dig into Faraday Future’s History (FF). You will find out about the china monopolisation and the reputation they got. I understand that JRE is making good remarks on the company due to the sponsorship. But I’ll just hope all of you check first, Before you even buy.
How lucky of you to get the opportunity to take this thing for a spin! 😎🚙⚡ I'm really into electric cars, so I'd definitely like to have this thing in my garage!
they got investors in the form of companies like Tata and other, if those investors think its worth it they surely can pump in more money to actually release this car.
Marek Vedral Tesla had funding, smart people and a great leader. This company hasn’t proven any of such thus far. They’ve blown through money, leaders, and resources. I’m all for competition, it drives innovation just as he said in the video, but this company isn’t succeeding.
I'd buy this car in a heartbeat. Tesla has sedans, roadsters, and SUVs, but not wagons. Faraday Future made the right choice to debut a wagon type chassis. Love the electronic rearview camera network. Might take some getting used to having it all on the rearview mirror position, but it sure keeps it streamlined when it comes to assessing what's coming up from behind in a glance.
Super Fleymez Well in the early days cars there were 3,000 ,yes I said THREE THOUSAND car companies and if one of these electric car companies be it Tesla or this new car companies or another one can build an electric car for $7,000 to 15,000 it would have three wheels two in the front and one in the back this is because of the onerous safety regulations to build a four wheeled car
I thought it was generally assumed Faraway future was a failure since they couldn't make a real product, had major financial failures, couldn't comply with their parent company, and were just advertising themselves as a Tesla competitor.
I drive a Leaf every day right now for my 80 mile commute. I love EVs and I won't ever buy another car with a combustion engine. The FF91 is kinda cool looking but it's a bizarre design. I do hope they can get their factory running and start producing cars. Hopefully we'll see an affordable FF model soon.
It's a cool car, but like virtually any other electric car startup (except for Tesla of course), it will probably disappear as quickly as it popped up. The company is already in some serious debts, and they're also getting in trouble with the Chinese government now. So yeah, I will be highly surprised if this car ever makes it into production - but hey, at least we got to see what the future might look like.
First of all it is obvious it is a paid ad, highlightned by the first sentence where you say that this is a Tesla's competition. How can a concept car be a competition to a production cars that are 10 years in production?
Dual rear motor and single front motor adds a lot of capabilities in torque biasing and traction control. The 2020 Roadster will use a similar layout. Maybe someday the model S and X will get 3 motors and a bigger battery.
Do you know how many UA-cam channels use this genre? MKBHD isn't the first and nowhere near the only UA-camr who uses that music. It's a popular genre...
it's generic stock audio from libraries youtubers get from their partner networks for free, that's why it's the same. I fucking hate this song, have heard it a million times by now.
Why are so many comments so negative about Faraday Future? They've had funds problems in the past, that's why they are in CES, to attract investors. They seem to have a pretty nice product. I for one am impressed that Faraday Future continues to survive. How many years until they get a product in the market? And will they continue to survive till then? We'll see of course, we'll see.
it's BS, the same as electric but you have an extra step of getting the Hydrogen. It's almost like powering the car with battery liquid. Unless you want to store the fuel for a year there's no point in hydrogen, my opinion
Idk about y'all folk, but I am not at all riding in or on or even next to a bomb, no thanks! HYDROGEN BOMB disguised as a vehicle with wheels and a steering wheel and what have you.....
I live in Northern Europe in a country with long distances and cold winters, as soon as a electric vehicle will be able to travel 800-1000 kilometers on one charge in -25 degrees celcius I will definitely buy one.
It's great to see these startups (yes including Tesla) complete. It's not about Faraday beating Tesla, or Tesla beating Faraday, because it's not like in 50 years time there will only be the brand that wins on every street. What everything is about is getting the big car manufacturers with experience at building safe high quality vehicles, to commit to building electric cars. Volvo is a great pioneer in that direction and others also seem to follow. That's going to be the actual cornerstone. And every time people say Faraday sucks or Tesla sucks more, and whatnot, the big oil tycoons clap their hands, because that means electric is still an uncertainty. One would have thought that the German auto industry would have pioneered the electric market because if anyone has the infrastructure to do it, it's them. But disappointingly so, that's not the case. We need to see the bigger picture and appreciate every company that helps make this happen.
I use to think the Tesla was over hyped, but I can say as a senior undergrad Electrical Engineer, with a few years of experience. I can say this would make me want to convert from Manual.

You tried to hide it but you were so fuckin' stoked to say "connect like little Legos" when talking about those battery modules.
yeah :P
How much money does he get every time he says Lego in a video?
I bet It gets him hard
Tesla Roadster 0-60 in 1.9 seconds
Faraday Future 0-60 in 2.3 seconds
apples and oranges
This is a better showing than last year. People had their doubts about Tesla in the beginning. And Tesla has overcome much of the stigma trail blazing already. I'd drive an electric car, but I want at least 1 physical mirror.
+briansmobile1 I'm trying to get my hands on a model 3. You'll have to come drive it!
Yea I don't like the all camera thing
No people have doubts about Tesla now, they have redefined losing money.
They planned to have standard mirrors you can get.
When are you bend testing it?
Came down to the comments to reply this xD 5/7
Will it blend? That is the question!
Wait wrong channel...
Flame test?
Why just Bend Test? Start with the scratch test then move to the Bend test and this time keep the burn test for the end. :P It would be awesome if we also get a drop test LOL hehehe
Then set it on fire.
I get it, gas cars going the way of the dinosaurs, Fossil fuels, fossils, dinosaurs.
ναιßηαν not true. Until a new battery technology that hold more energy density comes out hybrid is the future of cars.
I was mentioning the part of the video where he says that gas cars are going the way of the dinosaurs
prominent531

The thing is.... we're still using fossil fuels as the main way of producing electricity. I hope we find another better way
Abdulrahman Kroomi

Very cool!! Can’t wait to see the electric car options we have by 2020!
What's Inside? Anal poppers
Well, with most of the car companies releasing electric versions of their already existing models, there will be quite a big lineup coming up... Don't know, if the battery will be a huge upgrade to now, though...
Honda's EV Concepts look promising. Not crazy about the bench seats/screen dash. Both of them are beautiful cars though.
Will you be cutting the cars to see "What's Inside" or what's between? :) hehe
not a competition for you certainty. you will have your roadster by then or atleast almost have it
Legos are a few of Jerry's favorite things.
It’s my favorite too
But the question is, where does it falls on moh’s scale of hardness
It's not made from sapphire so 7
Not liking the cameras replacing side mirrors though
would get a little hard to get used to
Is that even legal?
They said they'd have replaceable standard mirrors you could get
Im legily blind?!?
@@chasemcdougall602 Audi e-tron, Honda e...
They don't really have the best reputation, but I hope something comes out of it, same with Bayton :D
BloodMaster me too

Neither did tesla
Ali otkud ti ovdje
Ever since he mentioned the FF in the logo I can't stop seeing it
Now I can't unsee the "FF" in the logo..
Thanks Zack!
+Tech Incorporated 👊
JerryRigEverything 😂😂
I've always been a huge fan of faraday and his work and it's so cool to see something like this have his name attached to it
Seriously, LEGO should call this guy to do some review.
You can't even do a car video without saying LEGO.
And you know you love it.
So, what's the Dougscore™?
I see what you did there
+ He didnt mention any wierd quirks and features
wow, that last thought of the car having wireless charging by just rolling into the garage is just tooooooooooo sweet. Brilliant Idea mate. I do hope Faraday Future try and make it happen.
Somebody should make a new company called Edison and steal all ideas and techs from Faraday and Tesla :'D
Botond Madács the company is general motors...it's Edison company..
Someone should make archemedese..
That car is freaking amazing. I'm jealous you got to ride in one. Tearing apart cell phones one day... Riding in the car of the future the next. Who'd have guessed!? lol

I really have no problems with the company's vision but I don't like there way of execution and that's why I don't trust them!!
Swapnil Sen it sucks because their vehicle looks amazing. Much nicer aesthetic than Tesla in my opinion
Bobby Greene Yes Exactly! I would have loved it to become a reality!!
This is so funny watching in 2019 with Faraday Future practically weeks from death.
Watching in 2020, with FF still kicking...
Will we get to see a durability test of the car????
Looking forward to that flame test
I'm starting to love electric cars. They are awesome! As well as you Jerry
Maybe it's future is to be _torn down by Jerry_ *-_-*
just informing but his real name is zack.
Jayanand Supali Zack the Jerry
We want a burn test
When is the teardown video coming?
Zack obviously enjoys just saying the word lego. Great video 👍
Cliff drop test
Wireless charging idea that you have mentioned was so smart. I loved it.

Face Stuffer the only problem is when sun shines over the LCD. It happens quite a lot in modern rear parking cams
Face Stuffer Not sure it'd even be legal to not have physical mirrors.

Awesome review of the car Jerry.
and good to see the names of Tesla and Faraday living on in the 21st century. Legends never die!!

It was a good idea on paper.
Yes I would buy an e-car ( when they become affordable for average people). I cannot wait to see the finished version of the Faraday!
Too bad this car won't get produced
Norbi Gőcze Why not?
Best sensation ever, watching Pringles and eating JerryRigEverything.
But do the cameras have optical image stabilization tho
I would love to have an electric car later, but I also don't want to miss things like engine sounds, clutch kicks and all that good stuff.
No scratch test??
but there was a bend test of the tripod
Nope. Because ff doesn’t plan to make the sponsored JRE humiliate their cars
How lucky of you to get the opportunity to take this thing for a spin! 😎🚙⚡ I'm really into electric cars, so I'd definitely like to have this thing in my garage!
A failing company unfortunately
Jus7ice3 They broke.
they got investors in the form of companies like Tata and other, if those investors think its worth it they surely can pump in more money to actually release this car.
People thought the same about Tesla a few years ago
Marek Vedral Tesla had funding, smart people and a great leader. This company hasn’t proven any of such thus far. They’ve blown through money, leaders, and resources. I’m all for competition, it drives innovation just as he said in the video, but this company isn’t succeeding.
Isaac Worley LeEco basically own this company and they flopped in the american market so thats why.
Rear tires counter steer for tighter cornering, that's pretty cool. The Honda Prelude, I think 99 or 2000 model, did that.
WHAT COMPETITION!!!???
I'd buy this car in a heartbeat. Tesla has sedans, roadsters, and SUVs, but not wagons. Faraday Future made the right choice to debut a wagon type chassis.
Love the electronic rearview camera network. Might take some getting used to having it all on the rearview mirror position, but it sure keeps it streamlined when it comes to assessing what's coming up from behind in a glance.
Yeah I know about them. I want to see this car do well so there's a good chance they don't go bankrupt.
I am a simple man. I see Zach, I click the video.

do these cameras have OIS? o.O
OIS is Optical Image Stabilization -_-

First of all it is obvious it is a paid ad, highlightned by the first sentence where you say that this is a Tesla's competition. How can a concept car be a competition to a production cars that are 10 years in production?
It says it’s a sponsored video.
Faraday also mentioned that they hired a LOT of Tesla's people, before those people quit, of course.
BEME News did just post a great video about electric cars. Its really worth to watch!
Future is electricity ⚡️
What a time to be alive as an automotive enthusiast !
I want one 😍
Dual rear motor and single front motor adds a lot of capabilities in torque biasing and traction control. The 2020 Roadster will use a similar layout. Maybe someday the model S and X will get 3 motors and a bigger battery.

OP said the music choice is similar and I basically said "No shit."

Lego's.
I for one am impressed that Faraday Future continues to survive. How many years until they get a product in the market? And will they continue to survive till then? We'll see of course, we'll see.
What about Hydrogen powered cars?
it's BS, the same as electric but you have an extra step of getting the Hydrogen. It's almost like powering the car with battery liquid. Unless you want to store the fuel for a year there's no point in hydrogen, my opinion
like the Toyota mirai; fast charge, smaller batteries could be cheaper to replace... but less efficient.
H2 0.08988 Grams per Liter. Not Viable for Human Activity on a Large Scale. FACT
Idk about y'all folk, but I am not at all riding in or on or even next to a bomb, no thanks! HYDROGEN BOMB disguised as a vehicle with wheels and a steering wheel and what have you.....

So glad that more and more electric cars are coming out. All I saw though was your arms =)

who's watching this in 2019?
hahahahah what a flop.
I love this type of videos man
Great thing to have competition between these companies
I live in Northern Europe in a country with long distances and cold winters, as soon as a electric vehicle will be able to travel 800-1000 kilometers on one charge in -25 degrees celcius I will definitely buy one.

Competition is always appreciated
I use to think the Tesla was over hyped, but I can say as a senior undergrad Electrical Engineer, with a few years of experience. I can say this would make me want to convert from Manual.
I used to have a 1986 honda prelude with 4 wheel steering, it was excellent for parking.
very cool! That FF logo works in a rear view mirror as well... Nice!
I drive a Toyota Hybrid and I love it so I would definitely drive an electric car. It's actually in the repair shop because some rear-ended me and I already miss it.
The Faraday Future is in pre-alpha.
It's nowhere near mass production.
It's a miracle they could afford this ad.
IF they price that competitive and also give us a basic version without most of the gimmiks, gizmoz and distracting crap, but still with high range and good power. This thing will sell like crazy.
Liking this competition already
First time seeing Zack smiling this much
The logo is INSANELY good
Very attractive looking car. Loving how modern cars are evolving.
Nice video! So we lack infrastructure for electrics in the US. I live....somewhere in the middle. Right now, we have 3 charging stations in my state and only one (1) in my city. So if you have your own charging station at home, it's doable but not extremely convenient. 110 volt charging still takes quite a bit of time. i think the best solution in the short run is what Toyota and some others already do...electric/gas hybrids.
A jerryrigeverything is incomplete without Jerry using the phrase "like Legos"
Can’t wait to see the interior!
Ditto on the love of competition. I feel like we'll probably bypass all predictions of the complete electric car take over.
I totally want an electric car. And I’m glad there is another company coming of age with it.
Faraday's constant is bae.
Future is lookin pretty dope, glad I was born when I was.
Liking the recent car vids mate, keep it up 👍🏼
