Song in the intro "Crip Go Crazy" by IsitBeezy ( • Crip Go Crazy - IsitBeezy )
I grew up in there in the East. 225 Wortman ave Linden Houses in the 80s. Rode the 3 train. Went to Gersh. Canarsie. Madhouse aka James Madison. Did my dirt. Risked it all to see shorties in Brownsville. Yelled corners in the elevators. It was fun but savage.
Now I have 2 sons 15 and 12. But my boys are growing up in the burbs Hudson Valley. Safe environment. Excellent schools. My oldest is on the rowing team and honor role. Youngest takes advanced math and science classes. Studies Coding. I'm married to their moms 16 years. Home owner. My kid's lives are way different than my wife who's from Harlem and mines were. Looking at this video it's alot of memories but low key sad. So glad I escaped the hood. Wife and I worked hard. And now my boys have a better life and bright future. HBCU bound. Can't imagine my sons growing up there. And it always tripped me out how some cats didn't make a better life for their kids. Instead they doing the same thing. And it's messed up a white boy is profiting off black pain
Love this keep striving king ✅
You’re the man. Congratulations on your success.
Pretty sure dude is Hispanic, but go off
What you mean White boy? lol these dudes doing this to themselves. White man ain’t got nothing to do with this. Just like YOU said , you “made” it out, it’s a choice, grow the fuck up.
It's called investing dummies
Don't blame whites for being smarter
These are the type of guys you see when you come back to revisit your old neighborhood after 15 years and you realize they still got that same mentality they had way back in high school.
Nope been moved out dick head lmao
they just vibing they chilling let them be, you probably not even from nyc, u goofy
@@Howdy2311 You're obviously one of those old losers too still hanging out on the corner like a teenager trying relive your youth years.
@@Howdy2311NYC rap fell off. Y’all rap like you’re from the south and Chicago.

I forget I’m old. When he says back then, I’m here thinking 80’s or 90’s, then this fool says 2013. 🤦🏻♂️ bruh.
I guess growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, that just hit different.
lmao I was like wtf
@@philb707 I forget these guys are probably born between like 1999-2005 or so.
Watching these vlogs it really makes me wonder how bad it is out there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s a cakewalk, but it just seems that overall, with everyone recording everything and it harder to get away with stuff, seems that things have gotten a little more chill. I could be wrong, but I can say if I knew back then that I had a chance of being recorded on video, there’s a lot of stuff I wouldn’t have done. Whether that’s good or bad, idk?
@@Q-154 my mother an sisters still live out there on shepherd & sutter. Its definitely better than the 90s
😂 me too bro, I’m thinking “yeah ENY was lit in ‘96” and then he says 2013 🤦🏼♂️
😂worrd!! For me,when I say back then..I'm talkin bout the 80s and 90s

"If it happened to you then it was meant for you." -Hood Proverbs
Just as BS as the other "Proverbs"
Maybe every slave owner thought that way.I bet everyone in this video, would have a problem with any crooked cops or WS,that used the same slogan, everytime they setup or unalived a black person.🤔
IF IT'S FOR YOU THEN IT WON'T PASS YOU!
He said it wrong lol

Me too, we had to be neighbors 😂😂😂. I was at 654 Wyona between Linden and Hegaman. Went to 213 then Gersh. I was there from 89 thru the 90s
No shade 100 for that cut is insane...

It's wonderful to see scientists in their natural environment - inspiring the world with their uplifting tales. Embracing education to learn skilled trades like engineering are pillars of this community. It's truly marvelous to see such a strong contribution to society.

The truth is there isn’t enough to go around for everybody in United States anymore and especially in New York. The whites are getting replaced by the Indians and Asians in the social economic ladder.
Need more vid on NY this is fire !! 🗽🔥🗽
I love these videos so much dude. No narrative, 100% real. Peak journalism.
Thank you!
Born and raised in east New York wish I had a time to tell my story Latin king. But salute to them brothers who got to tell apart of the era before we left
That's pretty much the nice side of eny if you ask me. I was on blake and Georgia next to Alabama park...aka the bamas. During the late 80s and early 90s, hot spot for o.g's, drug lords, cubans, Dominicans and transport drugs by the cops.
I grew up down south, but I was born in ENY. Brookdale hospital. Spent the first 5 yrs of my life on Georgia and Dumont and still have memories.

@@icepick976 probably Manhattan
It was called killer miller because of that big ass hill from late 80s early 90s
Yup...
I ain't even know that
That's a different part of Miller, not near the park he's referring to, but that hill by Highland is definitely traitorous😬
East New York. We have some of the greatest untold stories and hero’s. I’m proud to be from represent my towns.
I’d love to hear different stories. I’d sit for hours listening to people.

I grew up in ENY Autumn Ave and liberty Ave but then moved to crown heights I’m from this era and this made me miss the block ain’t gon lie because everything they said was is what it really was like especially with the Dz pulling up on you out of nowhere for no reason, I used to hate going to Bushwick by myself, never ventured into pink houses you just knew where and where not to go. I miss this era summers were always lit the block parties is what really made it feel like summer and let’s not forget opening the hydrant

I remember going to Transit Tech which is im ENY for a half of year because I was into Trains back in 99.That ride from the South Bromx then taking the A train on 125 st in Manhattan to Euclid Ave in ENY Brooklyn was a long bride Lol.
Yea uptown to Brooklyn is a long ride on that a train
@@quanbrooklynkid7776 We don't say uptown. Uptown is upper Manhattan like Harlem and Washington Heights. Stop trying to discredit The Bronx. It's The Bronx to Brooklyn.
Bro Pree not lying I stayed on Van Siclen and Belmont around the corner. Miller Ave was the spot. I went to 292 and Jeff. Block parties were the best, I’m from the side blocks, damn I miss the East

It really doesn't go down like that. I've lived in ENY for over 30 years and never been stopped. It's usually the same heads that get rolled on.
@Powerule23 you must not be a minority then
@@nwmi23 Actually I am, and if you think each and every black person is stopped in NYC, you don't live here.
@@nwmi23 Have I been stopped before? yes, when I was younger and dumber. I grew out of that nonsense.
Im 52 years old, from EAST NEW YORK, and i can say these Young Boys dont know how it was in the 1980s and 90's decades the THE EAST, LOL
WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!! CRAZIER BACK IN THE DAYS than it is now.
And it was even more Fun, because the 1990's DECADE represented the era of the HOUSE PARTIES.
HOUSE PARTIES and BASEMENT PARTIES use to be all over ENY BROOKLYN back in the 90's decade literally every FRIDAY and SATURDAY NIGHTS everywhere in the EAST.
I was in my 20's in the 1990's, and had a BALL living in ENY BROOKLYN
