Ugh this took way too long for me to both create and get the video done by the spectacular MishaDash ( / mishadash ) My voice has gone in and out in that time frame but managed to get this completed.
I wanted to make this a little special so I decided that not only would I extend Steven's song into the "I Am Lapis Lazuli" from Mirror Gem but in my own Cyril-y way. I'm really proud of this.... thanks for listening!

Great song, but considering the recent episodes, you should rewrite the song that gives Lapis a happier ending. After all, she is free from Malachite. Not to mention she gave Jasper a watery, right hook, uppercut to the jaw that sent her flying across the ocean! Still, it's a great song though.
I'm not sure. I could. I've certainly thought about it (heck in live I sang "you're finally home to me" or something to that effect... Idk I improvised) but I don't know if I should just redo this one or write another lapis song all together. Hard sell.

Lapis had emotions for only one half-gem-half-human, Steven. She didn't care what the gems did or didn't do, she just wanted to protect Steven. However, she hated being the pushover of both the Crystal and Homeworld gems. She wanted power, over someone, over anyone. She didn't need to fuse. She could've let Garnet and the others bubble Jasper and pick a side. This would cause problems, as Lapis only cares for Steven, so there'd be about as many fights between Lapis and the Crystal Gems as Peridot, possibly more. She got power-hungry and took a risk.

Lapis is one of the best written characters in the show going from someone who originally we thought would be joining the gems to the "antagonist" for an episode to then be befriended upon returning she genuinely seemed like she cared for Steven at the least and then when being taken captive she seemed to give up before possibly saving the day trapping herself to now come back next 2 episodes seeming at the least super pissed with everyone but Steven I can't wait to see how this turns out

It was thanks to this song that I even started watching Steven Universe to begin with. It's one of my all-time favorite shows now, so I'm really glad I stumbled upon this song when I did ;v; it's amazing to see just how far we've come story wise since Jailbreak; I remember back when the biggest mystery in the fandom was finding out where Lapis had gone :'D now here we are confronting and making allies with the Diamonds themselves.
To all the people you dislike the video, you're just pissed off that this person has better taste in music than you.
