Cuánto lamento que siendo la Destreza nuestro arte marcial nacional, no se enseñe en los colegios. Gracias por subir el vídeo.
Implica a todas las ciencias y artes, diseño integral. Dónde la esgrima parece ser una mera filigrana. Porfavor corregir si acontece.
y ahora con lo que se les viene encima ese conocimiento es mejor tenerlo y no necesitarlo , que necesitarlo y no tenerlo .
Sería increíble si ésto se enseñará en todas las escuelas Hispanas como un legado de nuestra cultura
De verdad que se agradece que hayan compartido este video tan aclarador y educativo de Destreza, debido a la inexistencia de maestros o instructores Destreza en mi país, uno debe aprender por su cuenta, pero evidentemente hay muchos movimientos que para ser entendidos es necesario verlos en acción y no en textos.

¿Todavía habrá alguien de la asociación que supervise estos videos? Llama la atención la falta de comunicación con quienes comentan al pie de éstos, y el abandono en que dejaron este brillante y prometedor proyecto. En mi opinión, debieron sistematizar una larga serie de lecciones básicas de Verdadera Destreza para el público internacional. No tengo idea cuánto público tendrían, pero de cualquier manera la esgrima histórica no es para las masas, y se le apreciaría mucho. De hecho, se les amaría locamente.
Apoyo este comentario, llevo años en este mundillo y recién ahora llegué a la verdadera destreza, he conocido recreadores de italianos y alemanas, pero nunca de españoles. Y teniendo en cuenta que fuimos españoles por casi 300 años se nota la falta de recreadores.

Wonderful! So close in its thinking to Bubishi karate, (not mainstream linear sport schools), it's untrue. Musashi school Go Rin No Sho Japanese swordwork also shares some of this thinking. Relative positioning, moving offline while entering, trapping and neutralising the opponent's weapon before killing is all evident. Excellent post, many thanks.
Destreza is born out of the Christian philosophy that the greatest sin is killing. That is why the primary purpose of Destreza is not to cause harm to the opponent but to preserve the life of the one who practices it. Killing is the last option.
It is not about being tricky, it's about to win with the knowledge of physics and science criteria, and then "overflow" your enemy.

Exelente, se nota la influencia que tuvo el Arnis-kali-eskrima por parte la esgrima espa;ola. He practicado Arnis y la tecnica del video me parece muy familiar.

Es perfecto lo que hacen, es bueno y dinámico. En la posición esta el movimiento y en el movimiento esta la posición; esto es invariable. Se debe trabajar y hacer enfacis en la coordinación de cadera y pies. El movimiento de cadera la da más potencia al empuje cuando la espada choca con cualquier objeto.

So I bought two translated manuals by Thibault and Rada and Ramon martinez's DVD a few years ago, but it still make me confused and frustrated till now. Could you let me know where I can get translated text by carranza or pacheco? Anyway this video helps me a lot more helpful than I expected. Thank you so much!X100
Interesting. Since I only have partially translated texts and I'm left-handed, I haven't been doing the Atajo the same way. The initial blade action is to the four side rather then the six, which sets me up to bind the blade away from where I move to (The footwork is to the same side, though my step is more akin to a crossover advance) which ends up with my holding the opponents hand/grip, my tip lined up for the through the torso killing thrust and in mostly the same ending position.
La Verdadera Destreza seems to be closely related to the principles of aikido. No wonder, both are systems of swordsmanship)

Esgrima es un término genérico, sería "el uso de una espada". Actualmente se entiende como "esgrima" el deporte olímpico de la esgrima deportiva.
Históricamente, en España, la habilidad de usar una espada era llamada "Destreza". Cuando algunos maestros "crearon" un sistema para optimizar esa "destreza", lo llamaron "Verdadera Destreza" y quisieron poner distancia respecto a la "Destreza Común" (mal-llamada "vulgar") que solo estaba basada en "trucos" (tretas).
