This is like poetry for dancers
this is so inspiring to me. i am in an environment where a lot of people compare dance now with what they see on tiktok(i am not against tiktok). My dance is completely different from what they see on the those platforms so they end up criticizing my dance style. it doesn't stop me from expressing myself.
Always do what you love don’t let obstacles stop you, you got this. All the best
@@zacharikurbah6358 thank you
@@Michael-kf7gm thank you
Good on you! I've spent decades wasting my life on what people think. I wish I understood at a young age to express myself the way I want and to just not give af.
@@EE-hi4re just the fact that you've realized it is a good thing
I din't know why but this video feels like a very important journey and dialogue in terms of dancers growth and understanding. Also Paul is fuckin cool af!
How kind and inclusive! I felt inspired to follow along and had a great time. Thanks for not gatekeeping dancing!
Of course :) We have no right to gate keep something we're so blessed to be a part of. Thank you for the support!
Man, I didn't know Koncept would be a great host. I can only imagine how amazing he is as a dance teacher if he's like this on videos.
i'm soooo happy steezy started making these type of vids! it's so helpful and educational
so motivational! i love the positive attitude and especially when you said ,,your foundation is YOU"
this was so valuable for a short video... Intense !
This was DEEP deep.
Thank you for helping me with my confidence. And also focusing on self expression!
this just got deep

Feels like dance therapy❤
Nothing more unique than rocking a Home Depot jacket to the club 😂😂❤❤❤
Great video. Inspirational and totally within reach. Well-done.
This was an absolutely spectacular vid! Super helpful and I'll be carrying these tips with me for a long while. Thank you!
I loved this video and your philosophy. Thank you!
This series is invaluable. Thank you so much for putting this out there, please continue creating content like this!
I can't think of any other dance education content out there that matches this level of quality. Not to mention the world class dancers!
Looking forward to the next one! 👏
Thank you!! We've taken a really long break to work on some BIG things outside of UA-cam, so we feel bad for not having been as active here. We're getting back into more consistent content and this comment was SUPER affirming!
I would like to share this to my friends, I can't explain it through my words and this video would help very much. As a Freestyle dancer, I would like to encourage them to do show who they're in their dance.
this is such a well made video i fucking love it
Thank you so much !!!
i love how this was elaborated. Well done homie! 916 represent!
I love how you mentioned that our pasts influence our dancing... I practiced Wing Chun kung fu in hs, and during my second festival the idea to use my footwork and hand movements of wing chun came into my mind, and i could suddenly dance! Ladies were suddenly slapping my ass and I was so proud that I had it in me to dance!
This video is now my favorite video ever
I think like this: each movement is a letter, and several letters form words and sentences, so think about the message you want to convey.
This channel help me overcome nervous and be more confident in dancing especially on stage and in front of an audience
❤❤❤thanks a lot buddy
Love from India
I love that concept 🎉🎉🎉
I LOVE STEEZYYYYYYYY

Koncept - he has a bunch of awesome freestyle educational videos over at @UnlockYourStyle in the same vein as this one
@@miteydeethank you!
@@UnlockYourStyle ofc!! Your videos were such a good start for building my freestyle foundations and really opening my eyes to what's possible, really appreciate it! ♥
@@miteydee I love it!!!! Stay tuned! More is coming!
@@miteydee I appreciate you
Hello guys
Maybe the best youtube channel for dancers like me 😭❤
Can I ask you some questions?
This is so great - TYSM!!
I feel like every STEEZY video I watch makes me more knowledgeable and better able to appreciate what I'm seeing. Thank you!
And as far as the claim that this video is duplicative of the earlier "how not to dance awkward" video… I watched that one when it came out, and even this non-dancer can recognize that the videos are addressing different issues.
@@DKisHERE12 As a professional dancer AND someone who has ACTUALLY watched both videos, I can definitely say that this video is vastly different from the presumable other video you're probably comparing it to (i.e. the one starring Lauren) in terms of approach, structure, ideas, advice, and theses. Lauren's video is a list citing specific "awkward" dancing habits and how to fix them: 1) staying in the box, 2) stiff neck, 3)wandering eyes, 4) losing balance, and 5) not tracking progress. This video is a mini essay about how dancers can productively foster their unique style and eccentricities as they grow. Basically, the only similarities Lauren's video and this video share is their titles and their initial premises (though they approach each of their respective premises in radically different ways from the other). This all would be incredibly self-evident if you actually watched both videos in question.
Edit: Also, no one asked for your opinion nor your rude condescension either. Funny how comment sections work.
I dont know this guy but he gives me talented Asian from Long Beach. You have legit skill
Very nice !!
I am 22 years old and I would like to be a professional dancer of Hip Hop Dance and Contemporary Dance but I feel that my age prevents me from doing so along with the little experience in dance I have: c, what can I do?
well, i’m not a professional dancer, but i can say this: i'm 29, i’ve only had hip hop lessons for 2,5 years now and i’ve improved a great deal since i started! (also according to my teachers and our school owner lol). and the only dancing i did before this was 2 years of jazz during high school.
it’s hard to tell whether starting this late can get you into professional work areas since professional dancers usually start really young. but as long as your body is in good shape, i reckon you could get quite far!
@@xmidsummersky thanks u🫶🏼🫶🏼
Dance anyway
