i would also put Shang Chi in Marvel Comics who has beaten Iron fist many times in the past. He was also created BEFORE iron Fist in the comics

Glad that you made this Video. Asian Superheroes have Been Long underrepresented in the Media esp in Television & Films. Even though Some progress has been made there is Still a Long way to go. Shang Chi (The Master of Kungfu) is one of My Favorite Marvel characters who has yet to make his Netflix or Big Screen appearance.

Yep, just echoing SUNFIRE. Most likely the first Asian superhero to get some acclaim. I even remember an episode from the 70's - early 80's of "Spiderman and Friends" featuring him (he and Firestar became an item).
You're gonna get this message a lot more and probably less politely but Silk and Spiderwoman are different characters
Infact there are: Jessica Drew, Julia Carpenter, Charlotte Witter (evil but still counts) Mattie Franklin (best Spider-woman after Jessica) And Spider-women from other universes like Spider-gwen. Silk just used the name Silk because that is what she's best at, creating silk from her finger tips #TheMoreyouknow.
No Kenan Kong? DC Rebirth is so awesome right now & Kenan the Chinese Superman deserves a another medium besides comics. BTW.. I love ALL comic book publications. I'm a fanboy... a fanboy of comics.
I'm glad they've improved Jubilee's powers. I remember watching the X-Men cartoons in the early 90s and being like, uhhhhhhh, that's it? Fireworks?

There's one non-Marvel/DC superhero that I was hoping to see on this list, despite knowing she's from a completely different comic continuity: Ana Ishikawa, aka, Shi. Ana is a martial artist and assassin so skilled, so ferocious that she is essentially the personification of Death itself. She was trained by her grandfather, a warrior monk, after her parents were killed by yakuza, and dedicated herself to obtaining vengeance. But what sets Ana apart is her spirituality; her mother was a Catholic missionary, and Ana was raised in the faith, which clashes with her need for revenge and makes her both question herself and seek to master her inner demons while reconciling with her beliefs. She isn't a superhero per se, but then again, neither are Cheshire or Lady Shiva.

Ignore that Seth Rogan Green Hornet film and reboot it to be more Kato focused!
Not sure who'd be best to play him, both Jet Li and Donnie Yen have played homages to the character in Black Mask and Legend of the Fist respectively, but it'd be good to get a young badass in the role.

While I appreciate the sentiment, I wasn't specifically referring to Bruce Lee the man. And Brandon Lee's legacy is more than just The Crow, plus as far as I'm aware the character of The Crow was never specifically an asian one in the comics.
Their own movie actually starring an ASIAN person, tired of damned European descendants starring in those roles. Authenticity!

You didn't mention Sunfire, Ryan Coi (Atom), Talia al Ghul, or Ra's al Ghul

Yes. but he included Kamala Khan so he is counting Middle Eastern people on the list too.
Kamala is Pakistani; I don't think many people lump Pakistan in with the middle east. I think Ra's is Arabic. Technically they are still in the Asian continent, but Pakistan is closer to what people think of as Asian (though most people think of the Indian subcontinent as it's own thing) than Saudi Arabia or Jordan.
Psylocke was left out too. Though her mind's English, her body's Japanese. So, really would you classify her as both or... Okay so she's a weird one. I"m thinking there were more too. But can only remember a small percentage of the X-book characters from back when I read Marvel.
And I think one of Batman's kiddos happens to be Chinese. I want to say Black Bat, but I might be mistaken. Again storylines I haven't picked up in a bit
I would say Pakistan is in the middle east and everyone around me would as well. Our differing definitions of 'middle eastern' is probable because we're from different places.

Also Batgirl Cassandra Cain, should be in this list. One of the few chinese female characters to hold her own series for years after Batman No Man's Land

We've had plenty of Asian super hero movies from Hollywood.. Tons of Jackie Chan and Jet Li movies! They're super heroes to me anyway.
u should check out Cassandra Cain (batgirl, black bat, orphin)she is lady Shivas daughter plus the only person to beat Shiva in hand to hand and the best hand to hand fighter in the bat family she in a mute (at the beginning she douse learn how to talk after a while) instead of learning how to talk read wright or even how to under stand language (she knows yes, no, and me but that's it) she was taught how two read body language so well she knows what u will do before u do it. she also mastered evey martial arts that batman knows in less then a year. if u want to know more read the first batgirl solo series great read

Just recently I watched the Chinese made Judge Dee movie...trouble was, it was more about dragons and stuff than any real investigation. Lots of Matrix style leaping-flatfooted-to-the-top-of-towers etc. We kept laughing in all the wrong places. Maybe that's why there aren't any Asian superhero movies.

ive worked at a comic shop for some years now and I find that DC comics give a better possitive cover over asain culture. although what I find odd is, all of our asain subscribers all get Black Panther comics.
Dat Lizifer DC has The Great Ten and Toyman, I remember. And currently a Chinese Justice League. Don't really remember much else.
To go along with the comments of others. More missing are Cassandra Cain, Aka Batgirl, Aka Black Bat, Aka Orphan. White Canary, Sunfire, Tsunami, Golden Girl and her descendants, Tiger. Kato, the Second Doctor Light. There are more but i will stop there.

You forgot Cassandra Cain. I think she is the daughter of Lady Shiva. She is a badass! She works with Batman, and I think she is the 2nd batgirl. I just know she was trained to be an assassin then Bruce took her in.
XX NOODLE XX she is the daughter of shiva and is technically the third Batgirl if you count Betty kane the original batgirl plus she is the batfam top hand to hand fighter even better then batman (in pure hand to hand) plus she is one of if not tge only person to have beat lady shiva in hand to hand combat and the 5th best martial artist in the all of DC

Had no idea Jubilee was Asian American. Guess it was obvious in retrospect. Many of these picks on this video, I would love to see in a movie but Marvel and DC shamefully won't do it because they think theirs no money in it. (Sigh) that is so small minded of them.

The majority of the Asian superheroes in America are women... I think that's sad... and of course the majority of the superheroes that are male are stereotypical or there's some type of super villain...
