Gun in the Fight - Jiu Jitsu Gets Tested! Who wins here?

- Think your jiu-jitsu could stop a gun? Would another combat sport serve you better in that moment? And what has to be on your mind when a weapon changes the game?
In Round 3 of the John Wick finale at Triumph Fight Academy, things got real when a pistol entered the fight. Suits, grappling, and sudden violence-this was no ordinary match and we loved getting to be a part of it!
Round 1: Pure grappling.
Round 2: A blade enters the chat.
Round 3: Pistol with blanks for the finish.
It ended in a draw, and the gentleman's war was definitely unforgettable. @mlabellplus3 scored the blade kill @lukebaker_bjj landed the pistol kill. These two came to put in the work! Much respect!
Weapons change the fight game, and we’re here for it. At A+R, we focus on refining the integration and application of every tool in defense of self and others. Huge love to our @triumphfightacademy fight family. The community, the people, the training-unmatched. You’re going to want to check them out.

If it's not combat, running😂😂
At that point snapping things is the only move.
Football probably the best in this situation...u volley the guy with the 🔫 in the face...then u run..an everyone knows footballers can run for days...😂 ⚽️
Whoever has the gun is gonna have the better odds. The unarmed combatant's best bet is to either surrender or eat lead as his final meal
Fma would be better if weapon involved
Throwing it in where only one dude sees it coming and where it’s gunna land is devious
LOL
that's kinda the whole point. you don't know who is carrying when you're about to fight. why would this be any different
Bro also didn't even have his goggles on yet
Just think about this then in a real fight it's not gonna be thrown. It's gonna be on his waist soooo that fight would've end before he even took 2 steps
@@LK-dn2msit's kinda a stupid point to add new rules but still expect one person to fight fairly 😅. The moment the gun entered the arena knees and elbows would be applied. You can even see during the initial clinch that he could've just kneed him in the face. But I'm guessing you're not allowed to knee the guy with the gun or break his arm because that defeats the purpose of their little shit show
Could you imagine if it was just some random dude throwing in the gun?
LOL
Yeah?
💀
The thought has crossed my mind
you mean like i thought was happening the first time this played?😂 yeah i can imagine
The heelhook is a wild choicee when fighting a guy with a gun.
He didn't seem very concerned about the gun. Once he lost the elbow, it looked like he forgot the gun was even there
Rite! What are you shooting with a pellet gun 🔫
Had no idea what he was thinking? Maybe muscle memory?
i dont think it was a heel lock. he just lost control of his gun arm and the foot came in between him and homies body to create space for gun holder to be able to use the gun effectively.
He was more focused on mounting the other male instead.
The crowd not having eye pro is wild😂
For real tho 😅
Needed this comment
Some kid is gonna lose an eye 😅
Come on those to kids holding on to the fence are just fine. They're behind it so they are good and don't need eye pro.
I doubt it has any bbs or pellets in it probably just cocked to make noise
YES! ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS WE ALL ASK!
You got it!
Yeah, but the dude was more focused on grabbing the gun, so he failed to control wrists, etc. (Not that I would do anything different, though 😂)
The one thing I do have to say is in a street fight there's no rules that need to be followed and the guy holding the gun is going to be looking for a clear line of sight and I am honestly on the side of obviously Jiu-Jitsu is overhyped in the sense that if there's more than one person or the person has a gun or a knife you're done for but in this case if the one without the gun was able to like jab at eyes and like grab underneath the rib cage and things like that it could have went differently interesting things they can't do in the octagon it's not a proper comparison
WHO ARE YOU PERSONALLY ASKING THIS EASY TO ANSWER, SCHOOL YARD, LACK OF A BRAIN QUESTIONS??? THERE IS NO WE, THATS A YOU PROBLEM
Nah here you got two good jiujitsu trainees, casual people would be much easier to control and possibly easier to control the gun holding hand
You gotta let the dude get his goggles on befor the gun gets thrown in😂
😂
No martial art is going to beat a gun. Ofc he won. 😂
It depends on skill level and DISTANCE!!
Martial arts may decide who controls the gun.
Dude got hit like 5 times before the shoulder shot got em
Not easy, is it!
No sir its not😂 sometimes u needa little luck on your side@@ar_tactics_
No until he created space he was just as likely to shoot himself
This is awesome they should make this a sport
Definitely l
This looks fun af
只能參加一次
😜@@關關-l6t
But with a twist the gun should be real
Bro brought Jiu jitsu to a gun fight
Nah fr?
What are you talking about? Jiu-jitsu is better than any other combat sport. It’s way better than karate. Most fights end up on the ground that’s where Jitsu comes in handy cause on the ground it’s a whole Nother game cause you can’t throw punches on the ground but headlock on bars and many other things but this guy is needs a little more training, but I think we should get a black belt
@@Banana_Man438are you hurt something?😭, learn to live a little . It’s a joke
That’s why wrist control is very important!
For real I was wondering why he dident grab the wrist
Gun control > wrist control
@@twotwentyseven72 Are you stupid.
If you grab the wrist they will most likely still be able to rotate their hand. Tried it doesn't work. Best bet is to grab the arm holding the gun then grab the slide(with your other hand) closer to the hammer while continuously pressing your shoulder into his chest keeping him close. Now IMMEDIATELY once you have the three points of contact you need to rotate yourself facing the gun while locking his arm inside your arm. This gotta be done in 1 motion. Now if done correctly this should leave you facing the gun and him behind you. Hes definitely still holding on to that gun but you need to also still have a firm grip on that slide and arm. Now if you made it this far hopefully you are ok with breaking someones arm because if you are able to slide your hand off the gun to his wrist he won't be able to rotate his hand enough now that you're behind the gun. Now it's all down to you just being willing to accept the fact........ That your already fucking dead if you thought that reading some random ass comment on UA-cam would actually give you the ability to defend yourself in any kind of situation like that. Now get the hell off your damn phone and go do something about it.
@@twotwentyseven72 wrist control is gun control
After the u, f, c, this is the most logical step when it comes to combat, sports @ realism. If you take this company public, I'm buying into it. This is gonna be the next apple!¡¡!
We’re down for that, Sir!
Makes sure to assault that like button and subscribe 😂❤
Now this is a sport
💯
That pretty cool. Pretty logical to train and compete with such circumstances. The small chance the knife or gun falls in a real situation, at least you’d have trained for it.
Appreciate it! These guys definitely put in the work!
This is how we train cqc from now on. 😮 this is awesome
“Guns beat karate every time”🗣️🔥🔥
Funny thing is a lot of these dummies think they actually can get the gun. I have heard these morons talk about it on Joe Rogan. Hell even he thinks he can. It's pathetic and ridiculously dumb. But they actually think they are bulletproof 😂
Dude this is something people would watch on TV
Working on it, for sure!
This needs to be a real short on tv
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome.. real stuff.. about time ❤
Appreciate it!
This is much more exciting than a regular fight. This should be the tie breaker in a decision. Lol
Your a genius
Dude didn't even get his safety glasses on before they tossed the gun in
That’s realistic training! Stay frosty 🇺🇸🫡
Appreciate it!
This is kinda fire
Appreciate it!
Guy was distracted putting on the goggles
Finally Gun-Fu! ❤
It's the golden switch
LOL
Imagine this was an actual sport with a real firearm. Just nasty very nasty
Gun vs jiu jitsu ❌
Gun + jiu jitsu vs jiujitsu✅
Dude Really waited to throw it in when his goggles were off. So he had to stop and put them back on knowing he wouldn't make it in time
This would definitely be wild if in the middle of a UFC match they do this.
💯
nobody else has eyepro
edit: author replied, says no BBs were loaded.
Lmaoooooo fr wtf is that all about
I'm hoping it just shoots a puff of air and no projectiles.
We were using blanks by Force on Force. They have no projectile, but we had the participants wear eye pro, and no contact shots were allowed.

man couldnt even get his goggles on before they threw the gun!! lol
So basically opponent got a gun and you aren't aloud to attack like your life depends on it. Coz you know as athletic as the other guy is he would put up more of a fight if his life depended on it.
Yeah, cause the other guys temple could have had a elbow crashing into it if he was allowed to fight all out
Looked like he just made a bad call going for a heel lock? Idk .
I’ve seen guys make decisions like this in real world and the one who didn’t get the gun first got a porthole in his head
Punching and striking isn't doing to stop the guy from firing. Just like the video showed, all he needs is one frame, one foot on the hip to straighten his body and get on target.
I like this. I never would have thought of it.
Awesome match for sure!
This was MACP 247. Now do it with kevlar/body armor/full uniform/, on concrete/mud/sand. Good training
Liked and subbed. Can't wait for more of this!
Guns > Ufc fighters
😂
LOL
Anybody see how excited the little kid is.?😂😂😂😂😂
They were hilarious - sooooo into it!
That's how the military teaches once you get to a certain level in the program. They even have rubber shock knives
What nations military are you talking about as well as branch of service?
Teaching kids shoot first
ask questions later ahh scene😭😂
I just love that he was able to keep trigger discipline while fighting
Definitely!
He shot several times didn't he
Well first and last thing I need to say is thank you for having the creative mind God gave you and I can't believe that I love something more than MMA. From a man in Ireland
Hello in Ireland! Thank you for the positive support! Was an awesome match with more to come!
Dude didn't even have his goggles on yet 😂
That should be an olympic sport.
Fun match, for sure!
This actually looks like it could be hella fun
Absolutely!
A real fight for your life is about who wants to live more and who’s meaner
I start with my own, so when you're chasing one, that's a go-ahead to me
This should be on TV
💯
Gun always wins, tough guy and muscles can only do so much... 😂
I love this sport!!!!
Appreciate it! Upcoming match dates being announced soon!
Thats insane!
This is tight great way to practice defense with weapons.
Appreciate it! Fun match for sure!
This is a new level 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Appreciate it!
This is exactly what I imagine whenever I'm making up excuses to not go learn a martial art.
💯
I’d pay for this to be an actual part of major sports.
Love it! More matches and cards coming soon!
Finally, realistic fights
That transition at 3:12 was chefs kiss
Lmao never seen this idea but im about it. I need more of this. All kinds of weapons.
💯
Começou...
Vinho, pão e jogos!
Ave cesar.
Good idea for a combat sport.
💯
This looks like a fun game to play
Yes! Next match dates being announced soon!
@@ar_tactics_nice. Better than that slap sh!t they have
Go for the gun hand bro , bro thought he was in a ufc fight lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂
i would watch a sport where you compete like this 😂 both jiu jitsu fighters fighting over a prop gun and the winner is the one to land the first blow. short rounds & an odd number to make it easy.
Appreciate it! Next match dates being announced soon!
Didn't even have his goggles on before it hit the ground
Love this game it's brutal
Awesome match for sure!
I don’t think people realize from the comments I’ve read that this was just to practice and react accordingly to someone pulling a gun
This gave me chills… in the best way
😭😭😭😭going For the ankle when bro gotta gun is crazy work
Imagine being in a fight and someone just throws in a gun and you both just stop fighting cuz you realized the crowd wants you to kill each other more than you want to kill each other.
Стиль-ДЖОН УИК😂
LOL
That guy knew what he was doing and did it perfectly, broke the grip and got that weapon system underneath him in order to gain control
In my 38 years on Earth, this is the 1st time i've heard a handgun/pistol being called a "weapon system".
@@grant3933it is a system designed to be a weapon. But I also grew up having a vet dad and grandfather, that’s what they called them in casual conversation. I remember my grandfather was telling a story where “he was standing there with his weapon system and then it just blew up in his hands, was like the gun didn’t like him”. Great man he was
@@grant3933 It's a military term for any weapon.
today we learn that gun beats human
Bro videogames have inspired actual loot drops ☠️💀
Fun concept
Gun wins everytime!😂
Oque é isso! 😂😂😂😂😂 Nova modalidade de esporte! 😂😂😂
Yes, definitely! Dates for the next upcoming matches coming soon!
That’s actually a cool idea for training. Obviously not training for a competition but real life survival or maybe certain officers or military members
Appreciate it!
Thats impressive trigger discipline
💯
Daaaaang I’d love to do this!
Come on in! Next match dates being announced soon! You can catch the full match at ua-cam.com/video/T-dm-mWnkhA/v-deo.html
Now that looks fun and realistic
Nice AF
💯
His mistake was trying to armlock him instead of going for a wrist lock and gain control of where he can aim his gun
Guns will always 🏆
Saw: "Let's play a game."
You just earned a new subscriber
Really good exercise coz this more realistic what can happen on the streets & elsewhere. 😊😊😊
Fans bring the weapons to the fight.
تنها کاری که رزمی کارها نمی کنند ولی ورزشکاران دفاع شخصی انجام می دهند...
توجه به اسلحه و اولویت دادن به گرفتن آن است.
Missed two crucial hand/wrist/arm lock up opportunities leading to - the inevitable 😮
This is actually a really cool idea
💯
That was pretty cool 😎
They put on a great match!
The level of TLC matches in MMA 😂
天地会远超你们任何实力之处🔥🔥🔥
dude was attempting to control attacker rather than controlling the gun. Now he'll learn from it.
Yep, hands on experience is the best teacher. Love that they were game for this match!
Hands on the gun, if your life depends on it you can control it with the barrel
"i bring a bomb to a fist fight" ahh moment
The ultimate equalizer
LOL
Now that's a novel idea. I'd pay to watch this.
Next level MMA, love it
Thus the conditioning for the real thing as a spector sport. Running-man like society.
