      Is the Trial of Kharzoid finished ROM going to be compatible with the oryNES paddle controller that was bundled with Arkanoid? If not could you please at least think about it for a future update or sequel?

    • @pacerush
      @pacerush 10 місяців тому +3

      @@CannabisKiddThe problem is that I use more than one paddle, sometimes up to 5 paddles in one level! It would be impossible to control them with a single arkanoid controller. And I use all 4 buttons, and the special controller only has one. So I decided not to support it. I really tried to come up with solutions! Even creating a custom controller! But I'm just a lone small indie game dev, it was becoming too much of a project. But I will work hard to make it fun to play with a regular NES controller. Thanks for the comment.

In my opinion he's the Donatello of custom video game controllers, I bet if you sent him a copy of your game and asked him he could build your game it's own controller! When this dude said.... "NES Hard" that gave me the flash back of the 1980's when I was a 8 or 9 years old playing the NES and to be honest the NES was the reason I was turned off by video games. Now I had played the SNES and there were games that were definitely doable.... Super Mario World, Star Fox, and the like but again I just wasn't really into gaming. Fast forward into 1999 and the Sega Dreamcast came on the scene, and just wow.... games that I could actually finish. Later on when the Playstation 2 came out same thing... games I could get past the second levels on. I'll chalk up the NES or SEGA The Master System to the Arcade Era because arcade games were just quarter munching money machines, and the only actual game I ever beat at the arcade (on a single quarter no less) was Golden Axe. It's wonderful having emulation for arcade games because now all you have to do is push a button for a "quarter" to continue your game, and what the crap man there are arcade emulations I've played where I was mashing the "Quarter Button" constantly. Good games but just a BIG FAT RIP OFF at the arcades back in the day, but uh... I guess... that was the point????

    • @dimelo8826
      @dimelo8826 Місяць тому

      Many people dig the difficulty of NES games. Many were frustrating and many pissed some off but I wouldn’t say it went as far as “turning you off” from video games altogether. Point is, NES was a challenge and because of it got your brain to focus and be patient and strategize and use your actual brain for problem solving. It was very rewarding when you actually beat a game on the NES despite the endings. Because some were good and some were bad and had no merit. But the good ones were worth it especially to resolve a specific story. And the drive to finish it was the point of it being hard to get to that ending and sense of accomplishment.

    • @therant3837
      @therant3837 Місяць тому

      @@dimelo8826 Well.... I had a lot of... problems.... per say.... as a kid when it came to..... you know.... education or school and such. No one could really figure out what was going, and this isn't some self induced "pity party" mind you, but back in those days as a young child in his single digits during the NES days it was a turn off for me personally due to my learning disabilities and such. I'm not saying the NES is a bad system dude, it was just... hard for ME personally due to the problems I was having back then. I totally agree with you that there are plenty of people out there that really liked the NES, but for me personally due to my condition back then the NES was a turn off for me. As an older man now I do enjoy playing the NES nowadays. It's a nostalgia of my youth no doubt, you know? It's just for me again personally the SNES came out when I was like... 11 0r twelve years old and it was something I was able to get into due to my... you know... condition. But I totally hear you, bud.

    I always knew that those systems back in the day had some more to show,the companies didn't dried them out good enough as we can see here! I do however know as well that in some cartridges they can enhance them with extra chip power those years which wasn't possible back in the day due to nintendo's tight ass way of thinking,suppressing the developers even back then to be more creative! That's why also not many releases saw the light of day to other regions besides japan etc! One of the consoles you can say was gone to its limit was snes,with games like donkey kong country in the end of its circle! The thing is though that they could made even better arcade ports those years but the costs would be too risky & high for the companies,that's why you see in many cases butchered games we loved in those 16bit systems! I would love to play those on my nes they are and look really nice! Well done to those ppl responsible behind those games!
