Ive been practicing norse paganism for 6 months now. At first i tried communicating with anyone who would listen. After the first month i thought maybe i was doing it wrong or maybe i wasnt important enough for any of the gods to notice me. On my 3rd month of practicing i was meditating and its like i was sitting in a damp forest. I heard a low male voice tell me not to open my eyes. Then i felt a big hand grab mine. I was told to look so i did. I was holding something in the palm of my hand but i couldnt make out what it was. No details no colors just a presence. I snapped out of it as i felt a gust of wind and loud crack of thunder pierce the skies i knew in that moment without a doubt i had some kind of bond with thor. Ever since that day i read stories and myths revolving around him to deepen our connection. Every night i offer him a glass of rum as an offering i compliment him a little bit i say a prayer and then i just talk. I talk about my life my thoughts my deepest desires. I hold nothing back from him. If anyone is reading this and is also practicing norse paganism i really hope you find the answers you are looking for, from who or whatever has those answers. Thor has helped me strengthen my resolve be more kind to those around me and odin has blessed me to keep striving towards my goals. I was raised christian but even as a kid i felt a calling to valhalla. Me and my friends called ourselves the Valhalla Knights. We were just kids but ive always had a certain connection to the gods. With christianity it felt like a chore. With the nordic pantheon i feel at home with myself and those i love.
I have been researching the true origin of the norse gods over several years, read the Edda and other books. It would seem that Odin is a mythical representation of one or several ancient germanic kings. He had many descendants who are still living today. However, the precise origin of Odin and his sons and what they truly did remain a mystery. What is sure though is that this christ is a liar, a miserable jew who fancied himself a god and got severely punished and humiliated for his arrogance. His message is unclear and he his by no means a being of love and wisdom some people think he is. Christianity has deceived and manipulated germanic people. They should burn these infamous crosses that are symbols of torture and humiliation and apologize to their one and only real Allfather.

Once a week as part of my training regiment, I do one hour of burpees. It’s always a massive struggle to not quit 15 minutes in. However, today, I played this the entire time, and absolutely breezed through the hour. Not only that, I felt energized at the end, rather than dragging my feet. It puts you into what I can only describe as a powerful, almost trance-like state where you’re actually trying to evoke that Thor archetype. In short: fucking awesome. Thanks.
