I truly wish I would’ve came across your videos months ago. I’m currently 11 days post op from my mommy makeover surgery & it’s crazy how different my surgeon’s instructions are from yours. & I understand every surgeon has different techniques, etc. My recovery process has been real rough to say the least. I’ve been in the surgical bra & binder every since I came out of surgery. The pain is so bad it is indescribable. Also, I’m still unable to fully stand up straight. I don’t understand why my recovery process has been so hard. I’ve done lots & lots of research, watching other women on UA-cam, being apart of support groups on social media platforms, etc.. just to get as much information as I possibly can. I’m just taking it day by day & praying for the best. I just wish I would’ve had a surgeon like Dr. Barrett!

I am currently 18 days post op! Followed all of your advice since day one! Never took any pain meds. Only did Tylenol and cbd oil. Already doing everything in moderation around the house. Just can’t wait for 6 weeks so I can carry my toddler again!!!!

Am s/p vaser lipo 6 mos ago w/double-board cerifired MD, sooooooo disappointed. I look and feel as thoguh nothing was done except extra scars where incisions were placed. Feel traumatized. Made office aware allergic to Latex and was given LATEX binder. Have never felt so invisible and dismissed.
I see that you have to wear a compress garment after two weeks. But what do you wear for first 2.

Okay, questions and I pray you see this and answer it. I'm 4 wks post TT, no lipo or plication, doctor is just now allowing walking for exercise and am supposed to switch from girdle with foam belly board to now a firm belly board under a girdle. He says the risk of creating a crease when slouching is still there and the belly board will prevent this. Does this sound appropriate or overkill to you?

P.S. the foam "belly board" I was told to use immediately post op did exactly what you described in your video. It irritated my incision and caused scabbing. I wish they had waited but nope. Thank you for your videos.
I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.
It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.
I went to SonoBello and they gave me liposuction and they removed skin from the bottom and from the top and sewed top and bottom together said this was a upper and lower tummy tuck without drains they squeezed the liquid out of my body since my body was deadened from the local anesthesia and had the openings from the liposuctions they also said that my navel had not shifted with given birth to my 3 Children I was able to stand straight up the day of and after and power walk through out my apartment. Also I now knew what to expect so I decided to have my inner thighs done the following month. I did wear bands around my stomach for a month and then a Fajas for three months after that and still do wear waist trainers from Luxx curves. I started out as an extra large now I 'm a medium/large took me a year and two months but I'm doing it. If I lived where you are I would definitely have looked you up cause I love your work on you tube. 1st. surgery was October 20th 2020 liposuction on full back and full stomach with skin removal and 2nd surgery was November 13th 2020 liposuction of both inner thighs. the only way that I would have plastic surgery again I would have to be asleep it was painful the initial shots to deaden my body. I went from a BMI of 46 to a BMI now of 29 still have a ways to go I'm 5ft 3 inches tall medium boned 40 hips and 42DD since my three Children was born I would like to have a breast reduction and lift no implants ever. I didn't breast feed. and I went through menopause when I was 38 years old I'm 58yrs old now. but I look about 34 so People say including my Husband and Children. I drank plenty of water. and watched what I ate everything was low sodium. why I didn't bruise I wonder Can you answer this .
Do you think hyperbaric oxygen therapy would be beneficial after the operation - it can increase healing

Doctor I just had a baby four months ago I got the Depo shot in September I bleed for months it stopped and started again should I wait to do my surgery I'm scheduled for the end of December
you should fully recover prior to any elective surgery.
I have a belly button piercing that stretched out. My surgeon said I might have a small vertical line in the middle of my incision. Is there any way around that?

Why recommend Gatorade? Coconut water with Pineapple is a better option.
Dr. Barrett, if you get fat transferred to your hips .. is that a BBL? Also, can you do 360 lipo then go back 6 months layer and do a tummy tuck?
BBL is just fat transfer to buttocks and hips. It is possible to get tummy tuck after liposuction

Your videos help me a lot for my mommy makeover. I'm taking health fast and cbd oil. I had a mommy makeover 6 days ago with MR,TT, BBL, lipo 360,breast lift with implants, how can I avoid sleeping in my back or my side? Am I going to loose the fat that was transferred? Help please!
I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides.
Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area.

Dr. My friend had a MMO June 15,2022. She got a breast lift and extended tummy tuck with lipo. She said she feels like something is either floating/moving around the right side of her abdomen or it feels like something trying to bulge out. Is this normal or something wrong? Please respond to this.

She’s in TN and they’re in Miami her surgeon literally did her surgery June 15 with Miami Anestetics & when she contacted them June 18 to report these issues they said he had went to another facility. (Avana) When she called that facility they keep telling us that her files haven’t transported yet. Can she be examined at an emergency room because it’s obvious she can’t get any help from them
