Once again...and great timing and a great reminder, we need these bodies to focus 100% entirely on core issues. Not all this woke, race-based garbage! Most of NZ have had a gutsful of this nonsense!!
Most? Do you know that many people?
Thank you Mr Laws!!
Brilliantly summed up Mr Laws.
Love your work Michael!!! WHEN WILL THIS CRAP EVER STOP?......

Magnificent anti-woke polemic!
Money laundering front and centre
Local government are completely disconnected from the community. 17.9% rates rise by ECAN, 50% over thee years. Unelected councils control the councillors, endless spending, endless focus on non core work, endless taxation to gift money away. I regularly take part in consultation, ignored everytime. There is plenty of money for infrastructure, they just squander it.
Wait to the reserve bank see the September quarter inflation rates.
Laws is a creep talking BS. Appeals to unintelligent people who cant think straight. He tells straight lies. He says the report was 2 pages on Council Work and 30 pages on implementing the Treaty of Waitangi. Not even close, Thats a straight lie. His whole argument is based on a lie. Thats a good reason to shut up.
Obvious this guy has a strong passion of patriotic for this country, and he talks the knowledge of reality of this society. You have my respect.
Brilliantly articulated, Michael!! The situation is identical in Auckland Council and Local Bodies. Maori influence has overtaken any hint of sanity and they all play along for fear of being called racist. It is yet another example of how "fear is the key" in manipulating people and authority over people.
They've always been bullies
Agressive! And it needs to stop and is being!!
another top performance Michael
👏👏You knocked this one out Michael very WELL DONE! 👏👏 So many of NZERS have had enough of all this BS! When is commonsense coming back to NZ...We can only dream!

This country (NZ ) has completely lost its mind.
@squashum778

Hopefully it not to late to get the sanity back.

@@rederrantstar693 😂 😂 😂. Isn't he the racist, disgraced mayor from whanganui??? Goes to show what you are. 😂.
The real problem is everyone is clicking the ticket, and in turn trying to make a profit. Watercare and waste management should be not for profit, yet they are both the opposite, both only serve one purpose to serve the public, yet instead run at the cost of the public.
My father, 87yrs, had a slip during Gabriel. It took over a year to get an insurance pay out(due to new digital)efficiencies. He needed a small 'retaining wall', which I could have built easily over a year ago. The council consent process is ongoing. No one seems to know anything any more.

The battalions in the trenches never gave any of this a thought.
As a maori in my mid 60s l grew up with a love of sport and excelled like some of us at rugby.
FFS... now it seems it's no longer a case of sticking to the laws of the game, but one of trying to figure out who the hell keeps moving the frikken goal post because they missed training and is now short on stamina and can't handle the distance... or need to sub themselves off the pitch after only a few minutes.
Thank you brother Laws... at least you stuck to yours.
God Bless you sir.
Spot on!
What about all the Building Consent/Inspection "business" controlled by Local government. What about all the "strategic investments" the Council control; what about all the zoning etc. they control.
'They' need to draft a report, which is then reviewed by a panel, who appoint consultants, which convene a board, who in turn employ engineers to review the review, to create findings, which are then forwarded to a committee, which assess the process, examine the findings, and then make suggestions in terms of amendments. Then the process starts again.
Bravo Michael Laws. Superb!
From time on a school board. Having to engage with iwi was at times one of the most painful things to do. Correspondence was slow, vague and variably engaged in. Things that you would have thought local iwi would jump at the chance to get involved in it seemed they couldn’t be bothered. In part as I understood (from word of mouth) because they saw some of it as just tokenism. So I was left a bit bemused at times. On one hand we were supposed to be supporting/encouraging student awareness/involvement in Māori. Yet the “experts” in the area, from which we were to learn, at times couldn’t be bothered. But they I’m sure still have the expectation that we do it????? And I’m sure will complain if things are done in an incorrect way. Having said that there were some amazing iwi members that helped regularly, so this was not 100% of the time, but enough to be noticeable.
I cannot imagine how things will work efficiently and cheaply for councils if behaviour from iwi ends up being like this for an entity that will have more requirements than our school did. It is one thing to recognise the treaty, another to have everyone held to ransom over it. The costs of this unfortunately go back to everyone and like everything ends up hitting those on the lower end of wealth the hardest.
Well Michael please interview a politician ie the PM he’s keeping pretty quiet, and could someone put a list and cost of all this crap, from a half cast.i would like to where my taxes went, good work.i
One of the many, many problems with appealling to a Higher Power in governance (eg te ao maori, matauranga maori) is there's no quality, accuracy, or fit for purpose check on any decision. They can't be wrong, because the Higher Power says it's fine. Therefore there's no governance, representation or accountability. There is never a mistake. A better way can't be proven.
So whoever and whatever you vote for is irrelevant because Higher Power rules. How... progressive.
This sounds suspiciously like the Catholic Church in the middle ages sanctifying kings and papal infallibility. All the corruption of the sale of indulgences without the charming architecture.
A+ Media @ Platform🌹👍
Hi Michael, you cannot get a DOC concession for helicopter landings I within the DOC land until the application has been assessed by all the IWI that the DOC land boarders,. The process took over 12 months

@Duckz558 there will be consequences for mari though
We only complain about the cost of traffic cones because we don't know the cost of cultural engagement, assessments, and monitoring.
Councils spend a lot of money on not providing services to the community.

Well done Michael, now have a look at the underhanded moves for the coastline and seabed. 🙄
The water the seabed the water that falls from the sky and the air we breath belongs to all New Zealanders, and is not negotiable for a small group of self entitled want a bes to take for them selves.

Just another matauranga nothing burger.

Right on the ball, thanks for highlighting this issue.
It’s about eel feeding platforms, glowing pathways, social housing … and it goes on.
Why has it not been made more public that Ngai Tahu recently just scored $100m just to rubber stamp the consent processes for the continued operation of the hyrdo power down South? $100m simply to keep the power going - people of course will blame the power companies for 'gouging' and maybe they do; but surely this doesn't help?
It doesn’t surprise me at all
Yes, Michael is correct, that you can't get a consent or decision unless local maori look at it. This has been happening quietly, but NOT at all quietly now, for many years. It arguably started in our educational institutions, and was DEFINITELY and firmly ensconced in Unitec at Mt. Albert in Auckland many years ago, where local iwi who were unknown, non-professional, never voted in and could never be debated with, had to okay everything, most of which had absolutely NOTHING to do with maori studies. It has been a rort, a way of making money by people who have somehow climbed up the 'iwi ladder' and find themselves in a cushy position of self-indulged $$$$$$-making authority. Enough of this race-based scam!
Plus Tauranga hospital have now on their staff a Maori spiritualist to help Maori at around $200 an hour 😱😱😱 the gravy train knows no end.
It’s a laughable joke, and they laugh all the way to the bank, and it’s been facilitated by the Labour and National government’s of this country.
I love the way you discuss this😅. Good on you for speaking up. Too many are just passive followers not thinking for themselves.

who gave local iwi governance over us? …. when did we vote for that?

our tipuna did back in 1840 straight up just beginning to come out local govt’s are more on to it than tis coalition
….some things that iwi now want to have jurisdiction over …. did not even exist in 1840 … it’s a bit of a stretch … they are wanting to have authority over things they have barely contributed to….
Never
That's the problem, iwi do not want governance over pakeha and others only their Maori. You wouldnt see ngai tahu expecting to have authority over ngati porou in ngati porou rohe.
You can calm down now, unless of course you're Maori and are aware of where exactly your ancestral links tie back to. If not, then it doesn't affect you and it won't.

This included re sign writing thousands of vehicles, road signage, parks & reserves in Maori & don’t forget over $500,000 for New Software for all the above in Maori.( go into a hospital & look at the signage)

Only an issue when the power is out of order with electorate support.
This was all implemented without Electorate knowledge. The Electorate did not vote for it, therefore it is undemocratic. All local elections where this has been implemented should be re-held with cards on the table. OR a referendum on the subject be held instead so that the electorate can have their say, democraticaly.
@@standbytogo123 Good to see at least one citizen has a grasp of the nature and value of democracy and the disciplines we need to maintain to retain it.
