I still have my technics stereo from my 16th birthday, I don't brag about how good it is, but I do brag at how many times I've fixed it and kept it alive for the past 21 years 😆
An ex girlfriend of mine has my technics stereo also from about 20 years ago. I didn't have anywhere I could use it so I let her keep it. Still going strong as well they were made well.
There used to be a comedian in the UK called Tommy Copper, who could walk on stage, not say anything for 5 min's, and the audience would be crying with laughter the whole time.
Rowen is loved worldwide. He is also a petrol head too. Hes been a guest on Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson. Rowen does a lap around the track.. hes a great driver too.
Harpo Marx decided he was never going to talk on screen, so played the mute character in every movie brilliantly. Rowan would be perfect as Harpo in a biographic about the Marx Brothers.
For those not in the know the "lecturer" in this sketch is Angus Deayton, who used to host a popular topical news quiz comedy panel on the BBC called "Have I got news for you" (which coincidentally has been running since 1990). Deayton was caught with a prostitute and large amounts of drugs in what was described at the time as a "sex romp" where the prostitute claimed "he was the best I've ever had" etc. He was fired after fresh allegations a few weeks later.
Since we're in the Christmas season, I really would love for you to do "Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean" (Transmitted 29-12-1992). Probably one of the funniest one off specials they ever made. Rowan's "Mr. Bean" was never better than in that. It's an absolute must in our family to watch over the holiday period. I hope Craig will be able to provide you with a good source! (I'm sure he'd agree). If not it is on YT. So good luck!
Lee Evans also did some amazing non-verbal sets/skits in his heyday but sadly its hard to get full performances on youtube and the like as his management are pretty hot on getting stuff taken down. Growing up my dad was a fan of Norman Wisdom who was another very expressive act. Of course you have all the silent stars (Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd etc.) and early acts up to Laurel and Hardy etc. from the early talky days. Jerry Lewis was also excellent at the non verbal comedy. If you want to have a great laugh with physical, mostly non verbal comedy look up an old british film called "The Plank" which had some of the best slapstick british comedians all in one film going through loads of the old men with a plank bits from throughout vaudville and early cineme. Yeah I knew quite a few stereo flexers back in the day with the needlessly expensive and convoluted systems that usually sounded terrible because they didn't know how to set it up properly.. I had a more subtle, inconspicuos compact system (JVC Adagio S20 - 90's tech) that was actually pretty powerful despite only having 2 speakers it could still be heard a long way off if pumped up (several neighbours away) but had zero distortion and had a weird virtual 3D effect using the walls to throw sound round the room. The only time I ever really pumped it up was those occassions when a neighbour was playing stuff too loud and I'd drown them out and they''d usually get the message. I still have it and use it to run my computer audio through when not using headphones so it seldom goes above 25% output these days.
I still have this entire show on VHS. I watched it obsessively when I was a kid, this genuinely brings back some memories lol.

Still got mine from about 97, luckily haven't had to touch it. Although now relegated to the the bedroom.

Often crying with laughter before he got on stage
probably the only comedian who died on stage to the sound of laughter.
Tommy Cooper
Rowen Atkinson is the master of facial expressions…..👍and of mime….👍
Jim Carrey is a master too.

@@bmofano He had to tell her his piles are back.
Angus Deayton ... 'Tv's Mr Sex', great straight faced comedic actor and presenter

Father of the Bride sketch or Divorce Ceremony are good.
big booming stereos have migrated into cars, they sure let you know they're coming by the subbase thump
I have known a few people who would complain looking at a receipt in McDonalds

Angus Deaton RIP. should check out the really early have I got news for you and then the night he was the story... brilliant but so sad.
Lemon tree dating can result in some bitter fruits, you know.
I have a 5.1 surround sound AV receiver.
roawns gift is when he says simple unfunny words and makes them funny
check out the top gear interview and you'll see why
Rowan has trouble saying the letter 'B' so he always stresses it to hilarious effect e.g. when saying "Bob"
Charlie Chaplin being English of course.
Rowan Atkinson live as the Indian Waiter is so much funnier
@KingBoomer Oh this one YES!!! 🥴
And this is starting to be misguided 😂 atkinson is great so many skits he did were fantastic like invisible man on the train
Mobile technology seems to have killed the allure of the old-fashioned hi-fi and integrated home entertainment systems.
Jim Carry is justas versitile. But not as elastic as Rowen is.

The Lee Evans, Bohemian Rhapsody skit is classic.
