Yes, years ago, when I was 8 or 9 years old I believe, I went to Pawley’s Island with my parents. It was going to be a day trip. We came from N. Myrtle. We went to the Hammock shops, and we drove looking at the houses. Then we headed back to Myrtle. At that time, probably about 1985, there was really nothing there but the few Hammock shoppes. I had a sun burn, and laid in a hammock, and the rope hurt my skin. I do remember that. And, it was about 100 degrees that day.
Family and I have been vacationing MB for years and finally got to Pawleys Island. I had to go after seeing how beautiful it was and also after hearing of the "haunts" including the stories of the grey man. It's a fascinating place.
It really is - we'll be going there more often. It's a nice short get away from the crowds in Myrtle Beach! Plus all of the wildlife was fun to see as well like the starfish.
Hey guys.. Loved that area, there every summer. We put a bid on two stilt beach houses there offered full asking price, both got out bid, sucks, just have to wait I suppose.Beautiful 🌴 community.I can't believe you two don't frequently visit P.Island. Thanks so much for the Vid.Wife and I really enjoyed it...Stay Safe....
Glad you enjoyed it! I can see why the housing there would be competitive. Beautiful area and not many houses. We will definitely go back, really enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing this…..I always thought Pawleys Island was beautiful just from driving on Rt.17. LOL. They really keep the trees & palms so beautiful and it reminds me of Hilton Head. But the only beaches I go to is Huntington & Myrtle Beach State Park. But these last 2 years you cannot get in unless you are there 1st thing in the morning. These public beach areas have to close due to high occupancy and I think it will only get worse with so many people moving here. I prefer public beaches with lifeguards and facilities and a safe place to park!!!

Been going all my life. The Pelican Inn is where we were married 25 years ago on May 17. I adore PI. No neon ALLOWED, LOL.
Congratulations on 25 years! Thanks for sharing!

It's funny what you remember like the rope hurting your sunburn. It's still very quiet there compared to Myrtle Beach for sure.
It's so pretty and not crowded and very clean was there in September
Totally agree!!
I will b going to Pawleys Island in june to stay in my cousins place. I can't wait!
Have a great trip!

We take a girls trip to Pawleys Island every other year. We always rent the same beach house. Great shelling at Pawleys!
Sounds like a fun time! There weren't many shells the day we were there but the water was freakishly calm.
Moving on 3/20 to Pawleys Island
That’s awesome! Congratulations!
❤❤born and raised in area.

Have visited the island but everytime weather is overcast. Always an air of mystery there
