I share your sentiments. What a wonderful video of the volcano I fell in love with last year and , like you, still love and have missed so terribly. She is still quite beautiful. That she may reawaken is something I didn't even dare hope for but she seems to be stirring!
It occurred to me that those of us who watched these videos and the people who watched there, are part of a lucky few, really. Especially those present. I watched in awe. Thanks for letting us see it.
Omg. This video is fantastic. I’ve watched it twice now. It is sad that the volcano is no longer active but still very nice to see it and the others around her. You can still see the smoke raising from the ground. It looks like some of her walls are starting to crumble inside. Your drone videos are so good. Thanks for sharing. Hope you will visit there again in a few months so we can see how or if anything has changed. Again thanks for the drone video.
This filled me with awe (and yes, sadness), to see such an empty, desolate landscape that last year was so overwhelmingly active. Thank you for taking us with you.
Very nice. I was there on July 2 in the evening with 2 people of our group from our photography trip. Sadly not so far up Langihryggur, the weather change and we had to go back. It was exciting to be there.
I really miss seeing the changes. Although such low resolution makes it difficult to see. 360p? Is this on the UA-cam side, or the drone camera? Your vids have always been in higher resolution before.
@@SaVids8 Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to hike up there, take the video, hike back, process the video, and upload it. I am just along for the ride! It must be incredible seeing it up close.
I am using your video to compare to the changes currently. Its July 29th 2022 earthquake swarm, heat and smoke rising from crater. Geldingdalur is an amazing Volcano.
I'm ready for the next eruption so I can return and make more drone vids, too. Maybe later this year. Surely, it won't be too long. Rarely have I done anything as meaningful and satisfying as standing before an active eruption (and filming it). It's weird seeing that crater cold and empty in this video.
Nice drone video 👍 Did this start from a fissure like the Meradalir ? How far away is the Meradilir volcano from this one ? The landscape is fascinating
I still love her.. And i do miss it so much. Thanks for sharing 😍
You're welcome 😊
Well she’s waking up again check the news

Thank you very much for that video. I love this little volcano so much.
Thank you too!

Glad you enjoyed it!
...masterpiece:
a big thanks
for upload
Really excellent to see the detail and where the subsequent eruption came up behind in the distance.
Terrific video! Wow.

Spectacular video!! Thank you so very much for sharing!!

Forget the nature programmes of David Attenborough......this was the spectacle that gripped so many in 2021.

Beautiful, haunting video; many thanks -- what is the music?

Nice, I would like to see inside the other cones, no-one shows them.
After 11 days a new fissure appears and his volcanic system is alive again. :)
At 1:40 is showing where the volcano is now?
The lava has really bleached out - is that sulphur?

Was more fun active. Ahh! I remember it well.

Meradalir not far to NE about 2km.?
When was the last time this volcano erupted?
September 2 2021,but one could call the new eruption the same volcano its just down the hill were the lava stopped the last time to the north.
Theres nothing anymore in there guys, time to move on.
🙃
