I remember a time when all this looked like magic. I've just finished my third run through The Farewell, and it's amazing how well the game teaches you all this advanced tech. At this point, it just looks like well-practiced gameplay (except those demodashes. I've only ever done one, and it was by accident). Great run.
Actually it was my hardest room but Also very easy after I figured out that you need to press jump after dash ends and the longer you press it the better wall jump it will be
This run is really good, I'm surprised that this isn't one of the most viewed 9a speedrun videos, good job on the run overall but there could've been some improvements like the demodash room but I'm specifically talking about farewell, you took a lot of slow but safe strats, good job anyway, I hope to see you beating your record soon
Just finished chapter 9 for the first time after 4,908 deaths over the course of three days. I can't imagine what speedrunning this chapter would do to your hands. This is incredible, good job man
me, having JUST finished farewell, feeling good about myself for once: Holy crap that was amazing! this guy: :) me: ... me @ myself: stupid piece of shit, look at that, can *YOU* do that mr. 3000 deaths?
its been changed in patches to be slightly faster or at least the same speed as the bottom route. But this is still on an old patch cause it was only a week after release
its pretty hard and saves less than a second. There are also 100 other strats that are not in that run cause i did it a couple days after release. The record is almost 2 minutes faster than this now
@@UltraMarlin oh, i didn't know, thx for clarifying, I've only recently picked up the game and dived into the speed running community, and while i don't currently intend to run true end myself, that might change, it's good to get an opinion from somebody who knows what they're doing.

not gonna lie, those were to hard and I just resorted to putting the down arrow key to my dash as the demo dash was super unpractical

5:07 what the heck
The cut it's very easy: you can do it you too : dash right > jump > wavedash :)
It's hilarious to me that the shortcut out the top of the first parachute room is actually slower
its been changed in patches to be slightly faster or at least the same speed as the bottom route. But this is still on an old patch cause it was only a week after release
at 5:51, isnt there a watchtower skip or does that not save any time?

Very nice sub 20
He’s the first one who got sub18
was the technique used in the room with the heart patched? there seems to be a barrier that prevents bringing the jellyfish down
yeah that room was slightly changed in an update
The jellyfish is the only thing in this game I couldn't stand... hated the mechanic lol
4:45 wtf
demodash
daniel vb go through space gap between hitbox?
@@osouzaiumashi yes
how the hecc do you release a parachute without throwing it
I’m pretty sure it’s holding up or down w n you release and she just kinda lets go instead of throwing
You dont have 500 fucking hours in this game, N O
