A group of undergrad students is working on an IoT Based Wireless Sensor gadget for monitoring of Barrage and Headworks in Pakistan. The purpose of this gadget is to monitor the water level, water pressure, gate movement, gate health at different Barrage and Headworks. With the help of this data they can do flood forecasting. The gadget will have an on-chip memory module using basic flipflops. These memory modules will store data which are gathered by the sensors (water level, water pressure and gate movement) and that data will be stored for on-chip processing for decision making whether to hold water or release water and available for remote mobile application. You are required to state that whether these small memory modules using flip flops managed to be synchronously or asynchronously operated? Consider that in these types of systems, power consumption and performance are one of the main constraints.
