Brought tears to my eyes... And carnage to the centre of Manchester that evening. Never ever been so drunk. Fell asleep with my head down a toilet 🍺🍺🍺😱
I absolutely love the moment of silence in the split second before the penalty hits the back of the net. I’m reading Mike Keegan’s book about this era in Oldham’s history at the moment and it’s a joy. I’m not a Latic but so many of these players were familiar names to football fans in the North West.
Was there as a Viking clad Wednesdayite, what a season, promoted & winning at Wembley.
Remember it like it was yesterday. You only ever witness a season and finale like that once in a lifetime. IF you are unbelievably lucky.
I know it's corny but I was there. What a season, what a game, never see it again.
I can't help meself. Just watched this again. Grinning from ear to ear.
Those were the days!
This was a real football match that puts to shame the media- hyped Premier League.
unbelievable
Them were the days
This is mad!
Upton Park?🤔
Bloody typical of Wednesday to loose a 2 goal lead
Esto se parece al futbol argentino en este momento!
I was there
Very sad day yesterday.
Now oldham are lucky to get 1/4 of that support .
There all city and utd fans now mate our 4000 loyal still make more noise than there home grounds
Ahhhhh... the plastic pitch, with its uneven bounces and ball running away from you if not to feet.
And Oldham took that accurate passing game to the grass pitches. During their time in the top tier, Oldham beat all of the big guns on grass!!....
Back when we were relegated from div one...i was one of may chelsea fans that went to oldham...there were a few of us in oldhams end....this brought back memories of the two lovely girls from oldham i had the pleasure of meeting in there....nostalgia rules the waves
