I sell on eBay and other platforms but on eBay, as a seller we can't ever see the max bids on items, only the current bid. Like if an item is .99 and the first bid is a max of $5, you'll only see the minimum bid of .99 and that number won't go up until someone bids over $5, hope i explained that properly.
I just grabbed some Bowman Draft and it was awesome! Check out the hobby lites too they're only 130-150 but no guaranteed autograph, but great parallels and numbered stuff, you can still hit autos, just a little tougher to pull.
