Trump paid himself $1 (one US tax dollar) as president and refused donations during his campaign runs. The Democratic party previously received 2.4 billion in donations and spent 1.8 billion on their campaign run. Trump needs the money for his 2024 campaign run because of reasons such as tax increases on his business and having the ability to pay his employees while he is running for president.
