Just found your channel. I grew up in Macc, and miss it a lot. I live over 5000 miles away now, thanks for sharing this videos, loving the view. And familia sites.
Was wondering which beach you were heading to, would have to be Southport from Knutsford. Although your ride must of been better than the way we used to go. Along The East Lancs Rd, A ride that never ended.
Great to see you smile. Mon. Luv the positive vibes. You have now. Keep doing what you do Monica. And enjoy every day. It's your life. Stay strong and positive. Russ in hillam north Yorkshire ♥️
Must admit, i went that way rainford, burcough ormskirk then loop back bickerstaffe parbold etc all round there Sunday but a live in a little village between widnes & Rainhill, and i'm with you St helens is a nightmare to navigate through, went on Sunday ooh my god, wacky races. Come back of the bypass headed to prescot much much safer route!
If you'd gone from Frodsham to Chester then you can follow the River Dee out to the Welsh coast and then there's a bike path most of the way to Llandudno - in terms of miles without traffic its pretty amazing. Recommended and great scenery too. Can't wait to get back to the UK to see some greenery !
@@monicadew9478 It'd make a good vid as there is a ton of stuff to talk about on the trip - the old works on the Dee at Shotton, The Duke of Lancaster (old ship, former arcade/halloween venue) about 200yds off the road, then the dunes from Talacre and all the seaside places on the way to Llandudno - there's a 2 vids worth right there I bet.
Liked and subbed . Well done , I cycled a hilly Cornish 40km yesterday and it nearly finished me off , respect . I need a specialized Creo e bike . Lol.
Great video Mon, if you want to do a good point to point the try Carlisle to Newcastle, No 72 bike path all the way. I'll even treat you to a coffee at the end lol 😊😊
Great ride. I find my favourite distances are 80 - 100 kms too. Laughed my head off at the part where you said you stung your bum, on top of the saddle soreness 🤣. Keep the videos coming 👍
Nice1 Monica, I did a point to point last year, got on the train to see my Daughter & then rode home 71miles, loved it! keep up the good work & enjoy your cycling adventures 😁
Saw that ride on Strava before and I automatically thought: "Yaaay! New vlog's comng!" I wasn't wrong :) Awesome ride Mon! Very well done for first 100K this year, hopefully there is more to come :)! You were lucky with that weather too (despite getting soaked on the way :D ) i mean look at this blue sky in Fromby! Wowzers.! Lovely vlog as always. Thanks :)
Loved watching this. Tried a 100km last week and bonked hard at 74km 🤦🏻♂️. Hadn’t trained enough over winter and done nothing longer than 65km this year.... but ultimately got my fuelling all wrong! This has completely motivated me to focus more on building up to the big distances again. Subscribed!
Yeah on those bigger rides fuelling is key!! I used to fall short of not enough food and drink whilst training but now i know the importance! Keep it up
It's so amazing to see young beautiful and strong women out there cycling alone and being co finest enough to do it. I wish I had more friends that loved to road cycle as I do but let's face it, you can't beat a solo adventure!!! Keep it up girl....getting road cycling out there for us ladies 👌🏼💯🤩
Woo! We made it! This was fun, feel free to do more of these small adventures/challenges. And take us and Scout along, obviously! :D There are so many puddles, creeks and lakes he hasn't jumped in yet. :P
Hi from New Zealand ex pat from New Brighton on the wirral here, I know your area well great ride and video, just had a 50 k ride today in the country but winter coming on now so weather will be cold soon, but not as cold as Brit winters lol, yeah, so take care enjoy your summer, great to see my old neck of the woods :)
I cycle long distances like this too! I cycled around Lake Garda (from Verona) in one day! 190KM! What an experience. It took 9 hours, haha! Great footage. I filmed my adventure too.
You sound very much like Joanna Shimwell of "Dale Farm" You Tube channel, from the Derbyshire area. I think it's the intonation in your voices, which is quite a pleasant intonation I might add. Nice video by the way.
When you like your bike riding watching your vid really makes you want to get out. There is an off rd gravel ride that takes you to Southport. You probably know it. It’s the trans Pennines way, pick up Stockport or Altrincham. Obviously Gravel bike needed. Very much stress free.
I have a number if Pearl Izumi jackets, I have a Vagabond jacket from 2000 which is still one of my favourite pieces of cycling clothing. Fantastic kit.
Get paper maps..if you can’t read maps just learn, really simple. Photocopy bits you need for a ride and carry in plastic sleeve. Then have a backup..can see where you are..good for peace of mind. NEVER be lost! Yes am old ! Good to be out on the bike👍
Totally agree with Lord Di Lego, more adventures and more Scout 🙌🏼❣️ Luvd it! (I need to ask u for something Monica. In previous vids you always start with ”goodmornin everybody” and i LOVE when u pronounce ”everybody”.... in the latest vids you’ve changed it to ”everyone” 😢 plz change it back to ”everybody” ❣️🙌🏼)
Just a few points. Firstly, glad to see you out on the bike again. The river the Runcorn bridge spans is the Mersey. If you have made it to Formby beach, you could’ve seen the Anthony Gormley statues. And, if lockdown hadn’t of finished, your Mum could not of driven to pick you up! See you on your next ride.

I actually did this ride last summer lockdown from Kearsley to Formby beach, it took us about 3 hours but what a beautiful ride
Lifeboat Road, Formby....been there, done that. The sea is still miles away even if you are on the beach!
If the tides out yes. Otherwise no.

Yo. What camera do you use for filming on the bike?
Canon G7x !
@@monicadew9478 Same as me, but the lens looks much wider angle! Thought it was a gopro 9.
@@PeakTorque Sorry my mistake. You’re correct. For off bike stuff i use the Canon but for the on bike clips i’m using a GoPro Hero 7! Apologies!
@@monicadew9478 got ya. Can you please sort this weather out too 🤣
Do you do you your own maintenance/repairs to your bikes. If so why don't you do a series of videos of how to maintain your bike?
I cycle long distances like this too! I cycled around Lake Garda (from Verona) in one day! 190KM! What an experience. It took 9 hours, haha! Great footage. I filmed my adventure too.

Are yyou any relation to Josie Dew who wrote the cycling book called "The sun in my eyes"?
Having been to to Southport dozens of times,I'm convinced it isn't a coastal town, there's no sea,its a myth 🤣🤣 nice one Mon 👍
hahahaha agreed!!

1st one here. Hello Monica!
Hi!
T'other side of bridge 😂😂😂
Those trips are the best, i recently did the same in Belgium, rode 82 km on new roads. Not looking at the numbers really makes it alot more fun!
Just subbed great channel thanks :)
I don't know which river - seriously!!
Goodmooning😀
You looked soo fresh after 100 km..... 🤙
I'm French and it's pretty wired for me to see you riding on the left side of the road :') It seems dangerous ! lol
haha I can imagine!
Wesh copain
Subbed for the Spaniel.
I'm here for that kind of commitment tbh!! Thanks :)
Still the most beautiful eyes on you tube!
Agreed
Creep alert
Even the lips are not bad
"On the Wahoo, it gives you a clue, like a Q". Someone's a poet and they don't know it, but did you go for a paddle? 😋
