- It's that time again. The biggest, most stressful week of the entire year. We DO make a lot of money this week, but every time I ask myself if it's worth it. By mid way through making bouquets Im deciding never to do this again. Then we make the money... and I'm preparing to do it all again next year. It's a ridiculous cycle. And I'd be lying if I said I'm not doing it for the money. Thats the only reason I try to sell so much on Mother's Day Week.

Well done Phaedra for such a busy time. WD on your door hinges works well stops to squeak. I found when I put Roses with our natives they deteriorated faster our natives must excrete something the Roses don’t like. Oooo nice hair. If I lived closer to you I would volunteer to help you, strip leaves, put stickers on, wash buckets get the moth out lol. The dark pink looks really really nice.

Love this video! Thank you. Have you considered getting a hoselink hose and bringing it in the room with you. Save heaps of time and energy filling and carting buckets. I love hose link as they dont pop off or leak. Feel pretty confident bringing it inside.
I have a hose like that! I haven’t hooked it up yet though. I don’t think I’d bring a hose into this studio though, we have a lot of stuff we don’t want getting accidentally wet :)

Phaedra you have done an absolutely amazing job. Everything looked absolutely stunning. We had torrential rain for 7 days just prior to Mothers Day so we could only do a few bouquets with the flowers we had. I can’t even imagine what its going to be like to do Mothers Day on your massive scale. Happy Mothers Day even though its a bit belated….I hope you got to put your feet up on Sunday night and got spoiled rotten by your children xx
Oh no! That’s so disappointing 😭. It’s so much work, and not much sleep. Every year I say I’m not doing it again (then I do it again). I hope your farm recuperates over winter and I hope you do too!
@@phaedragardeness next year if there is even the slightest hint of rain I will be putting our plastic covers over the beds of flowers so that we will have blooms. As we only had 5 covers and 16 beds I tried to move them around each raised bed every day in the hope that this would help but with the weather turning into a blast freezer down here and 22 inches of rain… we just couldn’t beat the weather. I will be doing some planting of the floret varieties into our high tunnel so no matter what is going on outside I will at least have those blooms to use next year. Ive had my Lolly shop for the past 12 years and always had to be open on Mothers Day so it was really nice to spend the day with my children and my grand daughter and husband. Next year Im hoping it will be our year to be fully involved in flowers for Mothers Day :)

It was Good Girls. When I watch Bridgerton I want to sit on the couch and not miss a second!! I don’t see much of what of watching when I make flowers :)
Mother's Day is just as bad as Valentine's Day I think! They're too close together. I need more mental rest between them 😂😂

What if you put a ramp at the door of your studio and use a wagon to load your car? It would be less trips back and forth.
I’ve wondered about this too. The door is a bit weird though, it has a lip you have to step over and it’s sort of narrow.
