Calvin was borned to a mother macaque so he is behaving as any macaque infant would. He does not know Casi is not his mother. I know baby monkey haters have low IQs and think these monkeys need to be quiet to avoid predators and all but that is not how evolution works. If these infants needed to be quiet to survive they would have evolved to be quiet.
Calvin, I see a lot of quit in him. This is another case of people should not be interfering with these monkey's lives. There was a reason he was abandoned and it seems obvious why. Calvin is different and mom monkey saw fit to abandon him. They should have let nature take it's course on the first drop by his real mom.
I bet this will be the best nights sleep poor Casi and poor Celine have had since this ordeal began.

He screamed and threw tantrums all day every day, that even if he called CASI now, the emergency is not there because as soon as he was away from her milk source - the screaming, fighting, defiance was gone,,, CASI is not going to pick him back up, I'm sure he has learned her lesson with this one

He didn't appeal to casi by groveling to her, he DEMANDED once she started, as soon as she started a schedule feeding between the two infants, he pulled his demanding and aggressive nature out and that didn't last long bc casi dropped him, and rightfully so

I've seen him fight his grandma for fruit she was eating, he never done any thing to save himself
That was martin and you right I've seen smaller ones try to eat something even when the mom rejected them to nurse, they would put some in their mouth, not privileged calvin, with no mom tried to be chosen about eating, boy bye!! He was also the cause he never tried to help himself

To be honest with everyone, i believe that if he was put with another mom monkey, like casi mom, he would of never been fed like that,,it looks in some videos that Calvin "muscles" cassi to let him nurse, the more he did, the more demanding he got, so she stopped letting him for probably a few reasons besides his disrespect towards her and her daughter
Chico is a bad ass little monkey! Love her..she tried to help him and teach him to help himself. He wasn’t capable of learning and that’s why he ultimately perished in the end

7:30. I don’t think Calvin’s eyes could get any wider. He’s scared to death. Monkey moms don’t leave their new babies with a kidnapper juvenile and stay out of sight from them. IF the new baby gets out of sight and with a kidnapper, a monkey mom is very, very near. Him being with a “kidnapper” is very dangerous for survival reasons. He could starve to death…… just as he did with Casi. Casi was well aware Calvin was dependent on her … yet, she let a JUVENILE tote him around for hours and hours. . . and out of sight. Some say “Casi tried?” When? Because she toted him around on and off for 13 DAYS? Because she let him have the teat momentarily to shut him up? Because she bit him? Yanked his head back? Abandoned him? Ignored him? Carried him by the tail? Refused to let him nurse…. Even when Celine wasn’t….. Is that when? She sure never encouraged his nursing OR survival. Ever. If he ate, it was because he fought to get there. He was a strong willed little dude.
How do you know what Casi is well aware of?? For all we know she may be hoping his mom gets him. She's aware that she didn't birth him so he isn't her priority.

He doesn’t understand why nobody is there to help save him. He’s constantly looking for and calling and calling… but no one comes. Ever.
Some people say he should’ve been “more respectful” with Casi but really? He’s an animal and he didn’t want anything more than what any other baby monkey gets.
I do wonder why Christy rejected him though. Was it because of Covid and a decline of human food? Was it from inexperience? 🤷🏾♀️
Had Calvin lived his best life with a mother that wanted him, I don’t think he would’ve been any different than any other entitled baby Macaque. They ALL get wacky about being any length away from their food source…. But then again, their food source is their protection too! I'm sure that is a desperate cry, however, I'm not expert, I just very much interested in watching these animals, the problem is that Calvin always made the "desperate" cry, no little chirps to alert mom to fix something, he always screamed, and that gets them in trouble, alerts predators or other troops

The infants evolved to make various noises from the cooing to attract the mother when separated, the geckers when wanting nursing and screeches for when in conflict with other monkeys. The last one stays with them and monkeys are noisy. Chico was a Female juvenile monkey. Unfortunately she had no milk to offer Calvin due to her youth. She was kind to Calvin and offered comfort
If Cheko was a mature female, more than likely, she wouldn’t nurse Calvin either. Kidnapping (or “aunting” as per scientists), is a very typical juvenile macaque behavior. However, it is not typical Macaque behavior, for a mature female, to nurse a baby that’s not her own.
Calvin was living on borrowed time since the moment his birth mother decided his fate. A macaque cannot survive without its mother and Christy, obviously wanted nothing to do with Calvin.

People, we need to find a way to ensure that every single baby monkey that's ever born from this moment on, will only have this exact fate... Starved to death... We need to find a way to make sure these moms can't produce the milk. This literally has 2 huge advantages: 1. Baby monkeys are starving to death on camera; 2. We'll never have to see them nursing again... I'm absolutely 100% serious, and determined, and I'm willing to put some money down for this kinda entertainment... I offered the same thing if we could see baby monkeys being fed to dogs or komodo dragons (on a video showing a komodo eating a baby monkey, so I'm really hoping we can't get some kinda baby mknkey extinction lol... Monkeys are completely useless, so it's not like we'd be losing anything valuable or useful lol.
