    I have the 2020 GT version and the torque is out of this world wow, coming off a Kawasaki Concours not a slow bike at all i was blown away by the Rocket 3 power, i had a quickshifter on this monster and its make a big différence on the twisties and brutal acceleration, if you never rode one you cant describe the pure joy of riding this bike i dont miss my old Concours at all.Not a days go by with people give me thumbs up ont the road or talk to me about the bike, its like having a super car on every ride its get attention from people just love it.Ride safe man

    Went to the Triumph reveal in Toronto in February. What a wonderful bike, beautifully executed with meticulous details like the motor and the headers are crafted. Not my kind of bike but would chose it over any other power cruiser including the Diavel or X Diavel.

    good review as usual, you have to really want one and I don't, why, price is an issue but moreover the very poor pillion accommodation for such a big bike, I have seen pillions on this bike and their legs do not look comfortable either let alone the seat, great bike for someone else, thanks for another great review

    It’s a so different bike that it’s hard to comment before taking it for a nice spin first.
    I think that maybe the GT version with a proper windshield and some luggage panniers, could be a great bike, if they put on it a reverse gear, I could think about taking one home. But as it is, I’ll try it anyway. Nice review on this massive bike. Thanks Scott 👍🏻👍🏻

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  10 місяців тому +2

      Yes, GT is better in my opinion. I took that home last summer for a few nights when my RT was in for service, never did a video on it, cause it was just a joy ride. But the riding position is much better than the R, the R pulls you forward and makes it uncomfortable after just a few minutes...at least for my old back. The seat is so low that the bike really does not need a reverse gear, at least the thought never occurred to me while riding them.
      take care,
      Scott

      @@NothingToProve Thank you for replying.
      The Honda GW bagger, has a low Seat and the reverse gear. It’s more a comfort feature , that I think, makes part of the concept on this heavy premium big bikes.
      The BMW 1250 RT is an exception (it isn’t top heavy, but it isn’t a light bike also). I have one, and never felt the absence of it.👌🏻

    I am losing sleep over what to do myself.. I have a 2019 1200 Scrambler XC which i like, i don't love it because the heat issue (exhaust on the right side and engine cover on the left side. Also vibrates pretty intense at high revs/speed) But it's got a lovely grunty motor, good riding position and is a pretty sweet bike overall.
    I took a test drive on the Rocket R and found the riding position nice (i'm 190 cm tall, 34" inseam, really liked it, and can afford it, but the question is - will it "get old" in a hurry once you've gotten used to it.. I have always had a soft spot for the O.G. V-Max, and as far as i remember (rode a 'Max way back in the early 90's) the Rocket is pretty similar in that you can ride all day without shifting gear - or rip around.
    A hard desicion for me..

    Hey, great review! I'm used to naked bikes, and now own a CB650R, which I love! But as I get older, I want something more "beefy".
    Is there a world of a difference when curving (pegs scrapping), comparing to a normal naked bike?
    The bike isn't available in my city at the moment for test drive, so I just want to have a clearer notion of how the beast behaves in the Twisties. For me that's a must (I'm not a maniac driver, my driving is mostly chill)

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  2 роки тому

      Yea, this will scrap pegs long before your 650R will. But if you ride it like you say "chill" then that is not an issue. But if you twist the throttle, you need to be aware of what's going to happen. The rotation of the earth is either going to slow down or speed up, depending on which direction you are headed.😁👍

    Hi bro. I want to know how does it compare acceleration wise to a Superduke R or a Superduke GT. Or
    At least which feels more pulling you?

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  4 роки тому

      Hi, well, I own a SDR, and I've put 22,000 km on it, and it is faster than this but the riding position makes you think that this is faster simply because the SDR you have to lean way forward to keep the front down, this you do not, it just spins the rear if you turn off the TC. It's just two different kinds of acceleration, I guess that is the only way to explain the difference.

    Great review! I was curious, how tall are you? I am 6'5 280lbs and was wondering if I would be a good bike for my height and size. You looked fairly tall so I just wanted to get your opinion on this. I owned a hayabusa and was able to ride that fairly easy due to it's size.

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  4 роки тому

      Thank you Jeff,
      I'm 5'10" 185 lbs, the leg room was kind of tight for my taste but the GT opens that up a bit as they move the foot pegs forward a bit and bring the bar back some too. But if you are fine on a Busa, then this will be ok for you.

    Great review again, always love it when you express our emotions while riding! This vid reminds me of the time I still owned my Triumph Thunderbird Storm. That was an awesome bike with a good weight and torque to but still very easy and nimble to ride for a heavy cruiser. Unfortunately I had to sell it for different reasons. Now I'm looking to buy the Triumph Street Tripple S for my daily commuting. Totally different bike as the Thunderbird I know but just want to stick to the brand and wa't something light, affordable, for day to day use and have a bit of fun in the weekends. Have you ride the Street Tripple S yet? Like to hear your opinion on that bike! Thanks and ride safe, keep those vids coming please!
