    This feature alone has saved me so many headaches (and patchcables).

      @@RMEAudio for example i setup my new Condenser microphone on 48v and my signal shows only the left chanel when is active also by recording, can be also signal on L and R chanel as well or it is correct like that the green peaks only on L?

      That is correct, since your microphone is a mono source. Check out our video about mono channels for a better understanding. :)

    This feature is sooo useful for running system audio through VST plugins! Imagine, reference sound, all the time, outside and inside your DAW (so you can get used to it)! routing:
    system audio -> SPDIF out -> loopback to SPDIF in -> Blue Cat Patchwork (Math Audio RoomEQ/EQ for headphones + Ircams HRTF) -> analog out 1+2
    since RME interfaces have low latency and CPU overhead due to good drivers, there basically is no drawback.
    Thank you RME!

      Just Equalizer APO to have Math Audio Room EQ systemwide available. I use that all the time. Downside is that no ASIO applications are supported. Those you can host in Cantabile light and there have the audio go to the Mathaudio VST. I use that also for SPDIF input (CD) to filter it through MathAudio.

    Could you detail the recording in a DAW - REAPER preferably ? I want to see the Reaper's Routing Matrix, and other recording settings on the Record track. Thanks.

    Love this feature, although I'm curious as to why the level on the mic is higher than what the loopback channel shows (usually like 3db difference). I see this on my own system as well.

    Can programs like Audacity or Windows audio mixer in general see the loopback channel? Because of my workflow, I'll need Windows to "see" the loopedback input channels so I can use them for recording or streaming, Zoom, Audacity, ETC. Thanks!

    I want to use loopback to route the audio from a microphone connected to my Fireface UFX II to a video call app (Zoom etc.) but Zoom only sees inputs 1&2. Is there a more convenient way to avoid feedback (from the microphone to the monitor speakers) than to switch off the monitors at each call?

    This does not work here with my new Babyface PRO FS. I am pretty familiar with RME since I am endorsed by you. But I work with OBS and want to get a stereo out signal including sounds from my mac (spotify). I sent the Playback to Adat 7/8 and then turn Adat7/8 up on my output 1/2. But I do not get sound. How can I get a proper Stereo Out sound with this?

    Hi. I use UCX1 and use 4 stereo loopbacks. this leads to me losing the input channels the loopbacks are routed into. does UCX2 allow me to not lose the ADAT/SPDIF input channels, if i use ADAT/SPDIF output channels with loopback?

    • @RMEAudio
      @RMEAudio  2 роки тому

      The loopback signal has always priority. You have to use an unused channel.

    "Loopback will increase your workflow and boost your creativity" - then we get a 2 minute video on how to make the Loopback button to turn orange! - and that is about it. Now we can all destroy our hearing and tweeters with 100w of 'sophisticated' digital feedback. Yes I've seen the loopback button and I can make it go orange - I didn't need a video to manage that, but how about you actually explain how loopback might be used and how the heck it will boost creativity?
