Gonna make this for my family we are having Christmas this weekend
And if you don’t like eating gelatin or are vegan, just buy the vegan marshmallow fluff already in a jar and just follow instructions after that. The only difference is there’s no gelatin in vegan marshmallows; they use a plant based version gelatin called agar agar which comes from a plant instead of animal tissue. Vegan marshmallows taste just like regular marshmallows too!

10 ounce package of marshmallows
Tips: Trader Joe's sells Vegan marshmallows and Wal*Mart brand (Great Value) Oreos are gluten free!

You can use purple if you like. I added the Rice Krispies after I turned off the heat.

Why does the black food coloring look blue ????
I'Asia WORLD I don't know why but I noticed that too.
the color black does not truly exist. Black, when it comes to paints and dyes, is just the complete saturation of a color, which it often why they look dark blue or purple.
I know this is an older video, but if you see this comment, I'd love to know if these treats stain your hands, lips, and teeth black. I'm considering making them for my son's 3rd birthday, which is train-themed, but I don't want to dye my guests, even if it's only temporary. It's all in good fun in my opinion and I wouldn't mind, but they're not all so easy going. Thank you!
I can't remember if it left any dye on my hands but if it did it was about the same as if you were eating a chocolate bar and the chocolate melted to your hands. Nothing that was long lasting. I am not sure about the teeth but I would imagine it would leave their teeth a bit discolored for a little bit.

there is no such thing as black food coloring its only dark blue/purple. i tried the recipe i think i put too much food coloring in it. my shit was black for about 2 days.

Martin Urson They are fine to leave out. You can either cover them with plastic wrap or keep in an airtight container if you want to keep them fresh for a long time. No need to refrigerate.
